I don't know why people are complaining, I was hesitant to buy everything I wanted bc of the poor reviews. The chebyreki and potato belyashi were better than I could imagine. The dough was perfection, the filling...amazingness! The smell of fresh, REAL pastries fill the air as you approach their counter. My only regret is that I didn't buy more due to poor reviews complaining. I'm not sure if maybe they came in on a bad day or what, but everything we bought was delish. Carrot salad, eggplant salad, even the dill pickles out in the store that you pick and place into your own container, was perfection. Did not buy Enough. My advise is to buy something and taste on spot, then get more because you will regret not buying everything you wanted. (We asked them to heat up our chebyreki and belyashi)
As for pricing, in a country where poor quality and garbage food is the norm, you cannot complain about higher pricing for good quality. So, If you want to pay less for food, you have every other restaurant or cafe you can choose from, so go there if cheap prices is your...
Read moreThe wide Eurasian selection and the food quality are 5 stars - very flavorful. Many items are also quite unique - for instance, appetizers such as pirogis and samsas which spread from Central Asia south to SouthAsia/East Africa (samosas/sambusa) and Eastern Europe (pyrogyis). Or the Morkovcha - Russian/Central Asian version of the Korean carrot salad. Contemplating the wide variety, one sees familiar flavors from Eastern Europe/Mediyterranean to the Far East - it does feel like a history lesson. Maybe thats why, just as other reviewers indicate, the price is a bit on the higher side. Worth it, but hopefully someday the food wil get more popular, thus bringing prices into the Central Asian...
Read moreI had the absolute misfortune of buying "perashki" today, and it was a complete disaster. They served "perashki" that were clearly recooked leftovers from the previous day. This is not just unappetizing but also highly improper and disrespectful to customers. The texture was rubbery, the filling tasted stale, and it was obvious they were trying to cut corners at the expense of quality.
This kind of practice is unacceptable in any restaurant. If you can't serve fresh food, you shouldn't serve it at all. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place unless they enjoy eating reheated, subpar food. This place needs serious improvements—starting with basic respect for their customers and proper...
