I don't know where to begin, or even how to condense into one paragraph how grateful I am for having been able to have Sharon Falen, Attorney, represent me and guide me through my divorce. Brief background - I was completely blindsided by my ex-husband of 9 years (he basically lead 2 lives) - and being raised Catholic and following the faith whole-heartedly, I was in complete shock and disbelief when I discovered this about 1 year ago today. The worst experience of my life. I can not detail all of the ways that my experience with this firm made my life worse as it would be a novel. So here are the cliff notes: Said the case will cost me $5K, when it ended up costing me $50K. Attorney did not listen to me or believe what I had to say. I guess she must have assumed that everyone lies and that I was lying when I was 100% honest the whole time. Did not protect me from an abuser and recommended I continued to communicate as much as possible with the abuser. Tried to quit as the case was coming to an end even after I spent tens of thousands of dollars with them. Wasted so much time and money on non-trivial matters and did not focus on things that would actually make a difference to the case. On the last day of mediation, stated that "I finally understand what you are saying about your son's mother" -- GREAT maybe you should have listened to me day one. Stated on the last day on the case that typically in these cases one person is the aggressor and the other person is passive. Great, thanks for protecting me and doing what I paid. Stated that their was an inappropriate or strange relationship with the other party, but did not do the due diligence to follow up. Would refuse to document certain conversations via email... but would state that it is just easier to talk over the phone.... but it was the stuff that I would have wanted to document via email. Now, I barely see my son... and pay a grand of child support a month to a person who gets $5K a month from her ex-husband. But they did not have the skill to convince the judge of basic common sense. At the end of the case, said I should have had a more aggressive attorney as she is a passive one... Said that she learned a lot from my case at the end. I am really glad that you could spend my money to learn!!
