Dollar General — Local services in Nappanee

The store looks ALOT better since the new manager took over, especially considering that I've only seen the same 3 people working there you can tell they are extremely short staffed, I feel bad for all 3 of them because they have to stock that entire store alone while trying to assist customers and most of the customers I've witnessed purposely give them attitude for things that are out of their control they shouldn't have to catch attitude and be called names because some customers dont know how to press the pay now button on a self checkout and select cash or card the instructions are posted all over their self register and its just commen sense not to bring yourselfs or your children into a public place with no shirts or shoes and it's not their fault they only have 3 employees I think the other customers should learn a little patience and have some understanding that not everybody gets to sit at home and live off their husband's/wifes or social security not to mention the fact that for some reason the customers of Nappanee go out of their way to make someone's day bad I've never seen employess get treated so poorly as I have at the stores in nappanee I feel bad everytime I go In there and hear what the...

It’s sad that the employees have to deal with impatient older ppl from age around 35 to maybe around 59 ish and I would also help that if maybe sometimes the other customers that come here won’t be so self-centered and be lazy about using the self check out or understand that sometimes maybe the employees are doing their best but they just want their way but they’re not kids so they should just grow up and understand which I’m proud of the employees having to deal with GROWN adults that act like kids when they don’t get their way there’s a martin’s right across the road if you want someone to do your own stuff and have it your own way go over there but to be fair there are some customers that are nice that I have seen and they feel bad that some of the other employees that work there have to deal with people like that but also people don’t understand that the employees there they have the right to straight up just trust pass you will not serve you because if you don’t to argue with them I’ve heard that they can refuse your service and tell you that your trust pastBecause of people acting like kids instead of being an adult...

This is by far the worst Dollar General I have ever been to. Everytime I come here I remember why it's a mistake. The store is very dirty, the shelves are never stocked and carts full of boxes are always blocking the shelves, and lined up in the isleways, and you can not find what you need. It is obviously understaffed, like every where else, but someone needs to take charge and clean this place up. It is in a well respected community and looks like trash.
