Chinese food, in large part is as standard as it gets. It is also highly subjective. As far as I'm concerned, this one is unique because of their regional food choices. They put their own spin on this business that is just great! You can get take out buffet. Load up as much as you want, take it up, they weigh it and charge you by the weight. Super convenient and very inexpensive for lunch. They have Steamed Dumplings that are hand made and prepared to perfection. The buffet is slightly limited in it variety, but it's still good, hot and plentiful. A younger couple owns it and they do a great job with it. The menu is pretty standard, but once again, you need to experiment a bit and try different things. Their recipes are unique and tasty. I eat there frequently for lunch. Sometime I do the buffet, but I order off of the menu as well. They are ALWAYS busy, proving the value and quality. My experience is not that of these...
Read moreLunch at 11: 00am for myself and my son was $30. Everything was served on paper or Styrofoam plates. The food temperature was room temperature, the ceiling was caving in. My son wanted to use the restroom but there was no lock on the door and the door was too rusty to open. I hadn't been to the restaurant in like 20 years since I was a teenager and I will never go back again. I honestly don't think they are using proper methods on the buffet tables to keep their food heated there's no heat going on to the food whatsoever and the food does not stay hot. I am far from a Karen and I've never gave a place a one-star review however the health department needs to take a close look at this place. My son and I have had messed up stomachs since we left. I'm getting this place a one-star review for the sake of people's health not to be a mean...
Read moreAh, food star, my favorite chinese buffet as a kid, now a mediocre crapshoot of a buffet for some crude American-Chinese. I have fond memories of the chicken and broccoli. As for quality, its not that great; flavors are dull and the food has a premade and frozen feel to it. The fried rice is almost always undercooked/dried out, and even though i always get it, i always am disappointed with the outcome (try putting the sauce of the chicken next to it along with some soy to improve the flavor 3-fold). Anyway i cant comment on how often the food gets changed out, but i can guess it has to do with how much gets eaten; so, not often. Eat here at your own risk, but when you do, gorge yourself. After all, it...
