Texarkana Aluminum — Local services in Nash

I was supposed to have a preload ,but then my load got changed because they didn’t do preloads last night like they were supposed to .So now I’ve been up here since 1230,its 700pm now .And I’m still out here waiting for a live load ,they are skipping me ,and when I call the security doesn’t know anything .My appt on my paperwork said 4:00 ,then the check in people said it’s 5:30,but for sure one guy that didn’t even have an appointment has went before me ,and another guy with my company whose appointment was later than mines both got called before me .And that’s 2 people for sure who I was here before .Who knows what other people got called before me ,those were the two that I spoke to .Its funny because I told my coworker whose appt was 2 hours after mines and got called in before me that he was probably gone go before me and he did .Based off him telling me before his appt was 9pm before and he got here at 2pm and they took him ..This is messed up ._I’m supposed to be on my way home .I was sposed to be home around 9 am .Now I won’t get home untill the end of the day .Wasted a whole half a day and counting .oh look it’s 7:00 and they just called me .Thumbs down for...

This place is a joke! BEWARE……ALL DRIVERS STAY AWAY!! I had an appointment so, naturally I arrive early… we the drivers have to check ourselves in by taking a picture of their code and wait for someone to call. Appointment time passes then get a call to go to the third drive and turn in. Talk to the guard he says go to this dock….get there and someone is in my spot and he will not move! Meanwhile I’M NOT GETTING PAID!! They say go to this other dock ….. waiting….. forklift driver says you have to get loaded at the other place first they close in 30 minutes….WHAT?! Go over there and combined load was about 50,000 . I can’t haul that! Everyone on the verge of going home on me and guess what IM STILL NOT GETTING PAID!!!!! 6+ hours in and they have to cut the load . TO MANY IRONS IN THE FIRE! But they don’t care about your time (that’s running out) and when I say (they) I mean the higher ups because these guys we’re dealing with here on the ground are regular guys like me just trying to make an honest living. So yes all the staff I’ve dealt with today are nice but nice doesn’t pay the bills! Still not loaded and my time...

I don't get all the complaints and bad reviews. Well, on second thought, I do. Trucks drivers these days are a bunch of crybabies. It's impossible to please them. I'm ashamed to call myself a truck driver anymore. I'm not very tech savvy and I found the check in process pretty simple. Any difficulties I had were squarely my own. I got there around 8am and got checked in. Shortly after checking in my phone rang. A nice lady gave me directions to the warehouse I was unloading in. I get in the warehouse. I unstrapped and pulled my tarp off. The forklift operator gets off his forklift and helps me fold my tarp up. That almost never happens these days. He put my tarp on the front of my trailer for me then unloaded my coil. I rolled up my straps and put them up, got my paperwork signed, and was on my way. The whole process took about an hour and a half. That's a decent unload time. I'm sure they have their bad days but every place does. There's nothing wrong with this place. The ones complaining aren't happy unless they're complaining...
