Texas Best Smokehouse Nash — Restaurant in Nash

Stopped here yesterday that's a Friday at 5 pm .... on our way home from a business trip. Only 2 cars in the parking lot. That should have been my first clue. We have visited several Texas Best Smokehouse's over the years while traveling and they have all been wonderful. NOT THIS ONE. Restroom's were FILTHY while employee's stood around in groups chatting. There is no longer a beef jerky counter ... only A FEW small packages of jerky to buy with limited flavors. There used to be a HUGE jerky counter with all different kinds of 'made in house' jerky. Not here. Texas Best Smokehouse also sells jars of jellies and salsa's, etc with their name on it. NOT HERE. Only a limited selection of products that didn't even look any good like they have been sitting on a store shelf for a decade. There used to be a HUGE candy counter as well with all kinds of hand made chocolates and candy. NOT HERE. Only a nearly empty tiny glass case with a few pieces of disgusting looking cake from a week or so ago. There were 4 adults in our group. The meat we got was too tough to chew. The sides were absolutely disgusting. The fountain drinks and water tasted TERRIBLE. We bought some of the roasted pecans, almonds, & cashews. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. These were absolutely the most horrible disgusting tasting roasted nuts we have EVER had and tasted OLD. The hired help SAT on stools chatting while we ASKED from across the counter to serve us these products. We ended up going to the VERY PACKED Quiktrip across the road to buy snacks for our trip home because we were all still hungry. Quicktrip was so packed we had to wait in line to fill up, wait in line to be able to move forward AND backward from the fuel pump, wait in line to use the CLEAN restrooms, and wait in line to pay for snacks. Texas Best Smokehouse should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on this location. A visit from the owners would be helpful. Texas Best? THAT'S A LIE! They should be taken to court over that fabrication of a name. Bland, no flavor, imitation smoked meat. Can you eat it? Yea. Will you go back? Not if you have ever had REAL Texas smoked foods. If you are visiting here from somewhere else, don't let this be what you use as any comparison or baseline to a real smokehouse. This entire place is nothing more than a Chinese made Texas shaped side show playing off the idea of Texas. About 98% of everything in there is Made In China or Honduras, etc. Didn't look at everything, but the only thing I found that said Made In USA was some candles and beef jerky. A farce, sham, con, illusion, pick one, and it accurately describes this place. Want real southern smoked foods? Ride around until you find someone selling stuff out of a trailer in a parking lot. Tried to get a full slab of ribs. The price on the board was $33.99, when rang up was 39.99. Said something about it. Was told prices went up, that's fine. Don't charge me a different price, then what is posted. Ask if manager was there, no. Asked to speak to who is in charge. The girl ( Feb 4 appox 3:45pm)said general manager is there, asked to speak to that person. She told me she wouldn't get him. She has a job to do and can't be bother with that. Your job involves customer services. That female always has a bad attitude. If you want alright bbq, a bad attitude, and guess how much they will charge( not posted price). Then this is the place.
