I always thought this was one of the better dealers in Texas. I have had fair and good timely repairs until a couple weeks ago. I had my transmission rebuilt a couple weeks before in Effingham, Illinois and started to hear a grinding noise, so Service Manager told me to get it checked as soon as possible. So I stopped here in Texarkana and signed for 2 hour diagnosis. I was told maybe they would get to it in a couple days, so I got a motel for three days. After 2 days I called the shop and talked to chassidy who told me to hold on while she talked to technician who looked at my truck. She came back surprised nobody had contacted me yet, she told me that technician drove my truck around shop and took oil sample. The transmission oil showed no metal shavings. The following morning another gentleman called me and told me Eaton Fuller wanted me to sign for permission to drop transmission, in which I denied and told them if oil was clean that I would take it back to Effingham, Illinois. When I got there they forced me to pay $464.00 bill to get my truck, or I couldn't take it. Keep in mind I have been a Professional Truck Driver for over 30 years, so after looking at invoice I noticed that the technician put down he drove my truck for about a hour, which is a lie because my truck has a GPS system with electronic Elog which is hooked to computer on truck which shows my truck never left there address. Keep in mind that I have a total PM on my truck and trailer with oil samples from both differentials and transmission in 1 hour and they charged me 2.7 hours labor to drive my truck around there shop and take 1 sample?? The following Monday I contacted the GM of this dealer Marty Corture and he told me he would look into it. Then later that day he called me back with service manager John on phone and told me they had to talk to technician to ask him who wrote the invoice or if he falsified the information and told me he came back to work on Wednesday and the GM Marty told me he would cover invoice if someone had falsified the document and I told him there is proof that my truck was never driven for no hour. He assured me he would call me back on Wednesday in which he never did, I have called several times since left messages with no call back. CEO ETC...
Read moreLonestar worked on our 2013 Freightliner, we were having continual problems with our DEF system. They replaced 2 Nox Sensors charged $1453.72. Before we even got onto the Interstate the lights were back on. The shop was closed our driver tried to complete his load the truck codes continued to flash we took the truck back to Lonestar Truck Group and they cleaned the filters and made notes on our invoice that they found the sensors not installed completely they also ran 4 regens replaced the Fuel Doser Block a Face Plug Routine and we’re then told that we needed a new one box with a estimate of around 11K all this for a total of $3291.41 when talking to the General Manager and asking him to adjust our bill because we had already paid for the sensors and were now paying for labor again to find the sensors were not installed correctly. He refused saying he didn’t think we would come back even if he adjusted the bill because we were unhappy with them. We then went outside and discussed it we went back in and paid the bill went to get the truck and the truck was dead, we went back in and requested for them to jump the truck, my husband came up and said they weren’t letting our driver have his key back, the manager came out and said they refunded our payment and that we could not pay with a credit card because we wrote on the receipt that we were not in agreement with the bill and were going to seek legal council and that we were only paying to pick up our truck. At this point we had to call our bank have them fax a wire request email it back to the bank and pay $27.00 to have the money wired to them from our bank. After over an hour of doing all this the manager Marty then would not give us a receipt for payment. I had to refuse to leave without a receipt to be given a receipt for payment. I explained to him that we did everything right we talked with the manager we didn’t agree with his invoice but we went ahead and payed the bill and we were treated horribly by this place all because we did not think it right to pay a total of $4957.04 to be told sorry none of that is what was wrong with your truck it now needs over 11K in repairs for a one box. After reading this make your own judgement if this is someone you want to do...
Read moreI will not recommend to come here for truck repair. Very lazy and lie about the work. Particularly, if you are a Canadian driver/company, better to find other repair shop. Lonestar charge you like crazy. Only replacing Sam Chasse panel, they charged to my company USD3,277 which is beyond of any estimates (labor $1360 + sam chasse 807 + 413.95 other parts + $300 sam-chasse core no clue of this part) Still, they charged USD178 shop supplies for this job which is erroneously VERY HIGH for this kind of job. A service guy told me that it is less than what he thought originally. It looks, they added up nos to just reach a certain amount. Very lazy sourcing part as well. It took them 48 hours to get the part here. Only labor cost was USD1360 for this job. They didn't mention of their hourly rate and total no of hours charged. When I asked them the hourly rate, it was told USD170/per hour which is way on the north side. Though, I am a company driver but my company & I felt like I being robbed. Only, only and only go there, if absolutely you have no other option. Here Lonestar invoice no....
