Iāve been leasing a space at Diamond Sound since this past July, a month before relocating to Nashville from out of state. The location of my gear needed to be determined before I found a place to live. My studio had to be accessible, safe, and in locationally desirable area. I found all of that here.
My experiences working with Josh Diamond and the rest of the crew have phenomenal! Josh gave me much practical information as a newcomer to the scene prior to moving, suggestions regarding where to live, (even where to attend a fantastic church), and made me feel welcomed once I arrived. All of this gave me confidence regarding my decision to relocate. That was huge; he obviously cares about his clients.
Before becoming a client and now as a client, I still receive courteous callbacks. Iāve been able to customize my room with shelves and hang instruments from the ceiling to better fit in and conserve valuable floor space to eventually rehearse with other musicians once I know them. The staff even let me borrow a ladder.
Speaking about knowing musicians: one of the most important and unanticipated bonuses Iāve received by leasing there is the large number of musicians I meet here in passing. Iām networking with, giving my contact info to, gaining valuable industry info from, and obtaining more leads from them. Iām making some new friends as well. I also have learned about places to go to see great music. Maybe itās the southern culture or that this is an indication that Josh cares who he rents to, but I can honestly write that I havenāt met one egotistical or waisted jerk there!
Iāve since learned that I might have been able to rent a home and set up my own space very close to the amount I pay for rent plus Diamond Sound. Then I would have just been by myself and it would have taken much longer to meet other musicians and learn as much as I have since moving 5 weeks ago! Another advantage I have with D.S. is that I can actually leave my (music) work there and be a ānormalā person who is more well rounded at the end of the day.
Speaking of end of the day, ok maybe Iām not as normal as others but with the 24 biometric access, Iāve left at times between 1:00am and 5:00am and felt very tired and but very safe. The parking lot is well lit and directly in front. The neighborhood feels safe and clean. I know my gear is safe as well because of the biometric access, individual locked and coded room access and extensive video surveillance system throughout.
I promise I donāt work there, but I get much work done there. Iām really grateful for Josh, his crew, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy band's rehearsal space fell through last minute on Saturday night. I called Josh@Diamond and left a VM. He called back within an hour and I was able to quickly and easily book Studio G for Sunday.
The studio is located in a discreet, clean, and secure area in north Nashville. On load in, we were greeted by our sound engineer Spencer. He was extremely nice, professional, and ensured we had everything in order to play. My whole band was instantly impressed with the quality of the studio's furnishings, and rehearsal was awesome!
An added perk is being able to hear a wide variety of exceptionally talented musicians while walking down the halls. I cannot stress enough the ease in booking space here. The whole process, including payment, ran like a well-oiled machine. We will definitely use this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo disgusted with the restrooms in this facility. It had not been serviced in what looked like months. Rings in the toilets. What looked like used tissue on the floors. Only one roll of tissue in the middle stall. I will never use this facility again. Truly a disgrace. I was also told the menās restroom had a horrible odor and they did not even want to use the restroom at all. Why would you not tend to your business and ensure its cleanliness....
