When they first opened I was thrilled. They were the best I've eaten in Nashville. Chattanooga has the best Mexican food comparatively so this was a huge welcome and satisfying opening. Since day 1 they've been great....until they weren't. I ordered around May and it was hugely disappointing. Bad day maybe? So bad it was June before I returned. My mother visited from Atlanta. We were all disappointed by the food, service, and atmosphere. Ok... Maybe a bad cook? Right? July I ordered twice - chicken fajitas and bean burritos. Cheese quesadillas. Stuff no one messes up; except they did. I voiced my disappointment, asked what changed, and was given a free queso. Great. I tried again today, November 2021; terrible. Slow service which might be excusable if only my basic bean burrito with cheese didn't come out cold, cheese filmed over, thick & hard tortilla, and tasting like old mop bucket water. Nothing was good. Not even the chips. Not even the sea salty chip salsa. I suppose they'll never get any better or at a minimum as good as they started. Off to find my next favorite Mexican restaurant. Adios to my once favorite...

I recently took my wife to Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Hermitage for her birthday, and we were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server, Angie, was absolutely fantasticâfriendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the evening.
I ordered the Steak Ranchero with black beans and rice, and it was cooked to perfectionâflavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. My wife chose the Chicken Enchiladas, and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were. It was clear the kitchen puts a lot of care into every dish.
The Margaritas were top-notchârefreshing and perfectly balanced. And to top it all off, we shared the Fried Cheesecake for dessert... wow! Crispy on the outside, creamy and indulgent on the insideâtruly fabulous.
Los Amigos made our special night even more memorable. Weâll definitely be back, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Mexican food and excellent service in the...
Read moreAfter another long day of unpacking, we left the house to find something to eat as cooking dinner was no longer viable. As we drove thru the strip mall, Los Amigos caught our eye and another patron gave us two thumbs up as his glowing review of the place. I was happy to see my favorite Mexican hot sauce greeting us as we sat at our table. Our server told us the house margaritas were two for one, an easy sale. He did recommend the Los Amigos Dip, which was okay but severely underseasoned. I ordered the Burrito Especial and she got the Carne Azada. My burrito was full of meat and very delicious and her steak was cooked nicely and served with lots of onions. Overall our entrÊes were pretty good but nothing over the top. The beans were the same recipe I think every Mexican restaurant must use and I was disappointed to see green beans and English peas in my arroz again. Dessert was good, but I'd happily pay a bit more for a higher quality ice cream but that's probably just me. On the whole, it was a nice meal and we'll return soon for the jumbo margarita at...
