Deb had mentioned a chocolatier she had read about, Poppy & Peep. We went in today and were greeted by one of the owners and her stepmother who was working the counter. We were coming to purchase a chocolate gift for our next-door neighbor, a markedly young 95-year-old woman who has become a very important friend.

The four of us had a great discussion about how their candies were made, and how all of their bonbons are hand painted! While we were debating what flavors to get, Peep & her stepmom were even kind enough to explain each flavor and how they offered new ones almost daily.

Yes,they are pricey but they’re well worth it. BTW, we also got a container of a dozen Caramel Sticks. Yum!

Such a gem in Nashville! Poppy & Peep is a father-daughter chocolate shop making small-batch, handcrafted treats that are just as stunning as they are delicious. The hand-painted bonbons are like little pieces of art—I almost felt bad eating one... until I tasted it, and then I couldn’t stop.

When I visited, I got to try a sneak peek of a viral Dubai chocolate bar that’s in the works (so good—I’ll be first in line when it launches). They also have a Nashville Hot Chicken dark chocolate bar that was sold out when I stopped by, so clearly I need to go back!
