**Update: We decided to give them a few more tries! We waited 2 weeks to re order and this weeks food looks so much better! Avocado was removed from the steak meal! Delivery was in an enclosed vehicle and felt VERY cold upon arrival! Lots of quick changes have been made which is awesome! Thanks so much!

The food is good and healthy so I wish I could give more stars… BUT the delivery method needs to change and the customer service needs to be responsive.

The food always shows up sitting in a bag in the bed of a pickup truck after driving around town for 4 hours exposed to sun and heat. The avocado is usually brown and questionable upon arrival, so maybe no longer using avocado could be a simple positive change. There is also always a ton of moisture inside each container upon arrive.

We have been given the wrong meals multiple times, which would have been okay if the wrong meal didn’t contain gluten. We required gluten free due to an allergy, so the wrong meal had to be thrown away as we couldn’t consume it.

We have emailed customer service and called but can’t get ahold of anyone so we gave us! We love the concept of this service as we have a newborn and a toddler, so not having to cook during this crazy stage of life is amazing! And being able to find healthy meals is a plus! But…. They need to change their delivery method (maybe investing in a large cooler from the bed of the truck, or renting an enclosed truck with AC for delivery days). Also, finding a way to be more responsive to order errors would be really nice!

We have tried this service for about 2 months and are thinking it’s time we discontinue as we genuinely worry about getting sick from the food due to the moisture in each container and the state of the food...

Recently tried Eat Well after trying a few other food delivery services in Nashville, both fully prepared and cook-at-home. This one is my favorite so far. Here's why:

1.The number one reason hands down is that I don't have a bunch of packaging to deal with disposing of. I love how if it gets delivered they pick up the packaging from the last order. That's how it should be. Many companies claim their packaging is recyclable. Recyclable to me means I can throw it in my curbside bin and be done with it. Recycling to many of these companies means squeezing out liquids into the trash and having to take things to a special recycling location. Even if I could put it in my bin it would take up the whole thing anyway. I want to be environmentally conscious but I'm also doing this to save time, I don't have the time to go on a recycling quest. The best solution is to do as Eat Well does and pick up the previous package when they drop off the new one.

I don't have to deal with the trickery of a subscription, remembering to skip a week, or jump through hoops to cancel when I want to. I can just order from them whenever it is convenient. I can have it delivered or pick it up nearby to save on delivery fees.

I would give a rating of 0 if I could. I placed a pick up order through Vibrant Meals. My meals were set to be ready on Monday of the following week. I had to abruptly go out of town until the end of the week and I called them to make sure everything will be OK to pick it up on Friday. I was told that it absolutely would be fine. It was never told that if I did not show up on Friday that my food would expire and they would throw it away. I wasn’t able to make it that Friday because they closed earlier than I anticipated so I showed up that Monday to learn that my food was thrown away and I called to sort the situation out and was told that they were keeping my money and there was nothing that they would do for me, but give me a discount on my next order. This is actually my first review I’ve ever written on a company before in my entire life and this is the most conniving and unprofessional situation that I’ve ever experienced. I am the customer and it is up to the distributor to communicate with me when I made that phone call that I need to definitely come and get it on Friday otherwise I would forfeit my food and my money.
