Before gong cha opened in Nashville, I had to drive 4 hours to Atlanta for the nearest quality and authentic boba tea. Crazy right? I’m originally from the DC metropolitan area where there’s a strong Asian community, so quality boba tea shops are everywhere. So to say how much I missed boba tea when I moved to Nashville and how stoked I was when Gong cha announced their opening is quite the understatement. It’s nice that the teas are freshly brewed and I can taste the strong tea flavor in the drinks. My favorite drinks are the oolong milk teas and earl grey milk teas. But there are also variety of drinks available like smoothies, fruit teas, latte’s. The drinks are highly customizable from the toppings, sugar, and ice level, very accommodating for anyone’s palate. Besides the drinks, the bubble waffles are great bites to share with family and friends. Parking is super convenient with free 1-hour validation in the garage. There are also board games available you can play while sipping your boba and cute art wall to show off your art skills or just want to express how much you...

The shop isn’t very big inside, but there are several tables to sit at and plenty of parking. It is on the pricier side, but worth it for the quality. This is my new go-to spot—I just hope the taste...
Read moreWait is terribly too long. It’s been past 50 min and still haven’t got drink. People are inefficiently working. Terrible long wait.
After good wait of 50 min for just two drinks, tea was really thin and diluted. And boba has no taste. Maybe what I got was just a brown color water with edible ball in it. Any other gong cha wasn’t like that. Is this really gong cha? Taste is far off from any other gong cha we have been to.
TERRIBLE!!!
First day of opening is no excuse...
