If you are looking for somewhere to unwind, this is it. On my first visit to Salt and Soles, Connie & John accommodated me on a whim and I am so grateful for the experience. The space is thoughtfully curated an offers a unique experience in a convenient location between the HIllsboro Village/Edgehill/12 South neighborhoods.
Full disclosure: leading up to my first session, I was pretty wound up from the day & was skeptical about seeing any noticeable benefit during my first visit. I was so wrong about this; during the session I became so relaxed that I actually fell asleep! The difference in how I felt prior to my session compared to how I felt afterwards was profound & undeniable. I felt more calm, less anxious, my overall mood was much improved & I was breathing easier. All of those benefits without any side effects? Sign me up. Truthfully, I purchased a 30-day pass for myself and am so thankful to have a place like this near by.
The salt cave is gorgeous-- the lounge chairs are comfortable, the blankets are soft & cozy, the over-ear headphones allow for a deeper meditative state if you'd like to tune the world out for a bit... I could go on. The moral of the story is when you are at Salt and Soles you can't help but to relax & rejuvenate. If you've been thinking about checking it out, it is absolutely worth your...
Read moreLove Salt and Soles! It’s a must try if looking for refreshing relaxation. The salt cave is such a unique and refreshing experience.
I’ve done the sound therapy singing bowls inside the salt cave twice now and loved both experiences. The first time was with a group (pre-covid) in the salt cave where someone played singing bowls for around 45 min while you sat in zero gravity chairs. It felt very meditative without effort. When the session ended and suddenly the reverberations had stopped the world suddenly felt crisp and a little euphoric. I tried to focus on the sound and my sensations. Being totally present in the moment. The second time was a personalized session with foot reflexology and then singing bowls placed onto your body and moving around your body. The reflexology was the best I have ever experienced. At one point a certain pressure point completely cleared my clogged sinuses in seconds. The singing bowls on top of your body is a neat experience. You feel the vibrations in such a powerful way. Again it’s such an easy way to truly meditate on your senses and live completely in the moment. I had felt very emotional that day and left feeling very...
Read moreI love Salt and Soles! I started coming here because I recently developed allergies and was told by my doctor that I'd need to take drugs regularly to control the symptoms. Looking for a natural alternative, I purchased a month pass to see if salt therapy would be helpful. In researching salt caves, I found a lot of testimonials of how effective this kind of therapy can be and it has helped me already as well! In just over a week, I have noticed a significant change in my symptoms and general breathing. The salt cave is so relaxing and meditative. You recline in the comfy chairs for 45 minutes while micro salt particles diffuse into the air, which you inhale/absorb into your system, which is supposed to help with detoxifying your body. Connie and John are wonderful - so warm and welcoming. Their store is full of lovely homemade bath & salt products and other locally-made items. I've also given a salt cave session as a gift and it is a nice way to introduce a friend to a healing therapy, even if it's not for a specific medical ailment. Overall, a...
