WKRN-TV — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Absolutely astoundingly poor coverage of the July 4th special program, "Let Freedom Sing." Several very bad camera angles where you could not see much, yet the video lingered there way too long, including the shot of the "Music City" stage sign during the fireworks presentation where you could not see much of the very active fireworks. Again, lingering way too long. Terrible feedback throughout most of the symphony performance. And for the fireworks finale, only one video shot set way too tight so that you could not see the incredible scale and grandeur of the amazing display, akin to entering the redwoods forest and looking at a few tree trunks instead of pulling back to see the vast forest in its magnificence. I don't know if this is the local channel's doing or ABC's, but I've seen better quality technical productions at the high school level. The fireworks presentation combined with the symphony was incredible. But you may not get that idea watching thus coverage. It was a massive insult to the talent that is available...

Dear Channel 2 WKRN,

I seldom if ever have responded back to a news program. This evening however the coverage of the little bat boy was horribly insensitive, very short , quick and disrespectful!!! As soon as they reported that he was getting a bat when a player took a practice swing hitting the little boy in the head, killing him - - - - - Immediately they broke in with a cartoon character blow up character in another country that was blocking a road (that was obviously a more important story) So immediate laughter by the reporters was the response seconds after interrupting the news on that child who was killed. There was a brief sentence in the very beginning stating that this death is why they will discontinue using children as bat boys. They never went back or finished the report - - - - or even commented on the poor player whose practice swing killed him. Watch that segment and see if you think it was heartless and unprofessional.I sure hope his family...

Today is a major Soccer day, US vs Portugal and your going to show us News at that time? All day long you show soccer and when it comes time to view the US you go to News. You people are pitiful.

You shot gun us all week long 7 days a weeks with negativity and finally when it comes to something with substance you cut us off. You and your programing are sick and disgusting.

Hell I do not like you or your reporters any time during the week and finally when you can really make a difference you want to shove your negativity down my throat.

Oh and you tell us all about your Apps to download to get the latest and greatest? Hell your reporting is the same ole junk day in and day out. Why would I want to download a App and listen to your lame work on my phone. As for your weather reporting? I do as good as job as you or if not better just looking out my window.
