Was on a regular visit yesterday- Saturday. It is an absolutely beautiful place. Really very gorgeous. However- some very unsettling things happened while we were there last- as we were actually walking around this time as opposed to sitting in the room. First, the dark-haired lady at the front desk (Saturday) is probably the LEAST friendly person I've ever met. Why in the world do you have her at the front greeting people still?! This is not the first time with her our complaining, either. Worst impression ever. Every. single. time. Asking her anything seems like a huge chore. I get that people have bad days- but this was beyond even that and not uncommon for this employee. (Although we'd hoped that she had left as we hadn't seen her for a few weeks.) Then- THREE residents approached us while walking with my relative to tell me how awful it was there. My own relative feels negatively toward this place- so I wasn't too quick to dismiss the comments- bc I've never heard others complain. They ALL said that the staff gossips to other residents and among themselves about other residents. NOT OK. Comments of being dismissed by staff. Treated rudely. Two mentioned, without any questioning on my part, that they are "paid back" for complaining through food. What does this mean?! I'm complaining to higher authorities- as the residents actually gave me their room number to share if I was willing to tell someone. You'd better hope that you aren't withholding food or tainting food in retaliation of complaints. After the lady at the front desk and her demeanor- well I know unfriendliness occurs bc it does to me. And all three approached ME- what is going on there?? I am posting on a friend's account- as I'm now worried about retaliation of my own relative before I can figure out something else. I don't care if you are understaffed- at $4,000 dollars per month- find good employees and pay them well!!!!! And get KIND, nice and helpful people at the front desk and all those you hire that are serving our...

ย ย ย Read moreThe Mansion on Main tremendously exceeded all expectations when it came to the care and kindness that was given to my husbandโs grandmother. We were in a situation where we had to move her somewhere quickly and Courtney got us in the same day to see the grounds. We took a tour and within 5 minutes we had made our decision. The move in process was so smooth, the facility is spotless, the staff is so kind and was happy to see us every visit and the residents welcomed her with open arms. Grandma loved her nurses Chris and Michelle! We are so thankful that she had a comfortable, happy place full of people that truly cared about her that she was able to peacefully live out the rest of her days. I cannot recommend The Mansion...
