Utterly heartbreaking. How disappointing to fall in love with a venue, only to have your worst fears come to fruition. BIGGEST concern for us was having good food for our wedding. The tasting? Delicious! Probably because it came straight from the kitchen to our table of 7. At my actual wedding? COLD. Thereâs nothing to be said about taste, because I did not bother consuming cold meat. How embarrassing to have guests come up to me and complain their meals werenât remotely warmâŚnot after the money we spent. I immediately brought this concern to my âpoint personâ (who was not decided until the very day before my wedding). Her response? âIâve been in this business for 8 years, never in my professional career have I served a plate that wasnât warmâ. We went back and forth for a moment, I was absolutely floored that I was having to even explain that it was not a matter of debate-it was a fact that my food was cold throughout. It was not just my table, but in fact FIVE separate tables/families came to tell me that their meals werenât hot. Thatâs just the people who werenât embarrassed to tell me-everything was indeed cold. Not debating this fact. Not only was it cold, but we paid for family style. Family style is a seated buffet, we were told this and it is definitely what we paid for. Not what we received though-not even in the slightest. Again, when I tried asking the point person why I hadnât been served again, as well as my guests, her response was once again pathetic. Verbatim, I was told that no one had asked for more food, but if âI really wantedâ she could bring out âsomeâ chicken Marsala. I had paid for family style for THREE entrees and two sides. Not what we got!!! Also, I was NEVER told that my guests needed to request more food. I was told when the plates needed replenishing, just that would happen. I wish my review could end here but that was only the tip of the iceberg. Our grand entrance was messed up due to lack of coordination on their team. Also my table settings were not as discussed. I had a good portion of guests reach out about because they received no favors. So disappointing because I bought enough for every guest AND they were supposed to be on every plate before dinner, to ensure that. The dinner plates were picked up so quickly as well. My uncle was quite literally still eating when someone went to take his plate away. He said he wasnât finished and asked if they could leave the food and bread, as he was still eating and they hurriedly took his butter away. I wouldâve loved to see this energy with serving the meals! Lastly, my outside cake was enough to serve every single guest, and go home with ALOT extra. I had 91 guests, and had to pay a cake cutting fee, as my cake was not made by Pranzi. My cake was expected to feed approx 145 people . Not a single slice was saved. I had guests who never got cake! The lovely response was they mustâve not been at their seats. I have family who did not dance the entire night (older people) and they truthfully were not offered a piece. I also expressed to my point person that me, my groom, my best man, and my made-of-honor all wanted a single slice from each tier (as there were three different flavors). Instead, we received NO cake for the four of us. When I said this to her at the end of the night, asking where our special cake to bring home was, her response was âthere wasnât any left.â I said I specifically requested all of us get a special slice saved. She literally shrugged and walked over to a table and handed me two slices of somebodyâs discarded cake! That is the memory I got to take home from my wedding night. I just get the vibe this is the ownerâs family or friend, because to not take action when THIS much went wrong is mind-boggling. I have never seen such unprofessionalism, especially when you have this much money involved. We attempted communicating these issues with the owner & she wasnât fazed either. Appalling. Itâs insane because Iâve seen the events they can do! My guests & I can all attest that it was very amateur. Needed a real...
Read moreSo this review is based on 2 places I've found in the Killburn Mill. "SolshineYoga" & "Utopias Path Apothecary & Tea Shoppe." Both places r owned by 2 different yet amzing women who r truly beautiful souls. Both r reiki masters who r genuinely skilled in their craft. "Solshine Yoga" is where i go to get my body feelin energized & "Utopia" is where i go for my hand carved crystals & organic herbs, for both my teas & spells to get my spirit feeling fulfillment. Ruth at Utopia knows her stuff unlike some other vendors & "trendors" u can tell wellness & knowledge is her thing. What sets both these places apart from other merchants in the same building is their credentials & knowledge. These girls r no bs & sum of the realest spiritualists Ive come across in a longggggg time. Diamonds in...
