Let me start off by saying I've been here during the daytime. I had an absolute blast, great friendly staff.
Now. The night-time? It was terrible. I'm greated by a stone face man named Charlie M. He is not welcoming, no smile, seemed like I was a bother to him. I saw another two lanes open. I asked to bowl till they close at 10:30. He rudely says the time and says my session will go to they close. As a solo bowler I brought headphones. Asked for a lane a little farther away. This guy puts me three maybe four lanes away from the other bowlers. Who have a video camera and are recording. Great. Thanks Charlie. I had a long week, I just wanted to have a good time and relax. I was very descriptive when I asked so there's no way he misunderstood what I said. Now here's the kicker. My lane shuts off six minutes before they close. Normally not a big deal. However I asked Charlie to just let me bowl till they close. As I stated before. I walk to the front counter to ask why, he says their league bowlers so they can stay. So my lane gets turned off and they can continue bowling because they are in a league? Even after I offered to pay more?? This place is an absolute waste of time at night. Save the money and go home. Or go to the bar instead! The bartender was nice, fast, and didn't seem bothered when I came over. Charlie. Here's what you don't understand. I was practicing to get back into bowling. I used to be in a league myself. After being treated like trash, I'll never return. Nor will I tell people about this place anymore. Read moreWe had reserved my son's 7th birthday party for 1/1/21 at 1:30pm where they said they would be open. Had everyone show up for the party in the parking lot 15 min early. Only to find out they were closed and not opening until 3pm. Which was a premeditated plan because there was a printed sign on the door and the lighted up sign outside also said this. I received no phone call ahead of time saying this. I called them multiple times and left a message. Never received a call back. I had to scramble to make a plan B for this. Shout out to Papa Gino's in Fairhaven for letting our group come and eat pizza and eat the cake that was brought. I had to call wonderbowl after 3pm asking what happened. I received no explanation, no signs of any remorse. I left my name and number for a manager to call back. That never happened. I finally went in to get my deposit back a couple weeks later and was told maybe they lost the paper? Totally inexcusable in my eyes. Extremely bad customer service and lack of care for a family and guests that payed for this party. No offer to come back and have at least my son play for free. We will never be back. Read moreGreat place when you get decent staff, been going here for years and this has to be the worst staff by far in my 15+ years. Manager is rude, staff seems to think they can be disrespectful to ppl because they work in a bowling alley. Have gone the past 2 weeks and it seems the manager likes not to be bothered when he is at the register, he sits on a chair with a unwelcoming look on his face pointing instead of speaking to the the guest who walk in, I asked for another hr on my lane he did not say a word just pointed to the register which was about 1 foot away and did not even respond when I asked if someone was at the bar/ food portion of the location. If you want to be made to feel uncomfortable by rude staff and unprofessional managers this is the spot to be at, it just gets worse as time is going by, seems they are getting random ppl who don’t have customer service experience or know how to deal with customers. I have encountered the same manager with glasses and beard and is a bit heavy, he most likely can’t find a decent job anywhere and was gifted his position because of who he knows not how he works.
