Food Lion — Local services in New Bern

I have doing business with this store for at least 10 years. Friday evening went to purchase rotisserie chicken for dinner, got home and someone had eaten from package. Didn't notice till I drove home, went immediately back to store with receipt. Asked for store Manger someone else said she was manager could not explain why chicken was prepared or packaged like it.. I then asked for deli clerk,, then "store manager" came up and said someone had been eating from package. After showing him my receipt and time purchase, he told lady to give me a refund. Definitely manager needs to learn to listen to customers comments/complainto, and not to tell them to leave store. This store was my primary grocery store, just this week I had spent $ 175.00 which is probably everyother wk. I will try to contact his district manager with my story. This purchase was unhealthy / especially during this pandemic, not inconvenient for double trip. Better attitude...

I don't normally do this...I didn't see a manager to talk with so knowing how company's check their google reviews I decided to share up here. At this location there is a cashier named Kim she is an older lady with short hair. I was actually in the line behind her. A woman came in and walked up to the register's to apparently ask something and both cashier's ignored her. She walked out. The cashier Kim, speaking to her customer said that lady gets on my nerves. She comes in here everyday. Her customer said something along the lines that shes been at it for awhile. The cashier then said well shes got a gift card somebody gave her. Apparently the lady must be homeless or whatever. Regardless her situation, she shouldn't be ignored or talked about. Her business shouldn't be discussed to customers. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope this gets handled. Unpleasant...

Food Lion on Rte 70 is clean and staff are always keeping shelves well stocked. If you can't find something someone will gladly help you. Customer service works with you and stand by the company's word that if you don't like their product you can return it even without a receipt, I did anyway. Cashier's will stand outside their area if they are not busy and direct you to them, with a smile, so you don't have to wait. I give 4 3/4*s for their wonderful produce! I didn't get his name, but the man who is the janitor in the evenings is very kind, charitable and respectful. I had a short chat with him. He was trying to get outside to sweep the sidewalk before it got too cold. It was a breezy, pretty cold evening already! Go bless all who work to make others lives better.
