I installed a Lloyd security system about a year and a half ago. I have had security systems in the past including the Xfinity system and ADT. They have always seem substandard. The Lloyd system I installed include door sensors, motion sensors, a doorbell, cam and exterior security cameras. The technician arrived on time and had a brief conversation with me in regards to what he would be doing during the day and ask questions about camera placement and areas that I did want to have visibility too. The technician proceeded to work on the system throughout the day and did it a very thorough job installing everything. He asked me numerous questions in regards to my preferences. Before leaving, he made sure everything worked connected me to the central station monitoring service and explained how everything worked for me and also connected the system to my wife and my cellular phones. The system is very intuitive The interactive doorbell is amazing. It can give the impression that I’m home when someone comes to my door unexpectedly. I can see a video image and have a two-way conversation with that individual giving the impression that I’m home. The video cameras give me visibility to the exterior of my home at any time from any place in my home is monitored with videos surveillance 24 hours a day. The video clips are stored in the cloud and I can access past events and view. Live video if I wish on my computer or cell phone from anywhere. The security system itself gives us a sense of safety when we go to bed at night. We know that our system is harmed and no one is going to enter our home without being detected. I don't live in the best part of town and as the weather started warming up, the crime in my neighborhood did too. I work full time and go to school in the evenings so I never felt comfortable leaving my family all day long. Instead of calling companies and having them sell me something I'd regret, I started by researching the latest technology and pricing what it would cost to install it myself. I could tell that Jill (my sales person) knew the industry inside and out. To top it all off, the installer they sent out knew what he was doing and obviously took pride in his work. Less than a week after the installation there were three burglaries less than a block from my house. I don't have to worry about my house being broken into. We previously were using Vivint, but recently moved to a house which used a Llyod Security system so we decided to switch. Turns out they use the same equipment so its been an easy learning curve for us. Getting signed up for the system and the installation was a piece of cake. Everyone has been really nice and helpful. I love that the monthly fee is one base price so no matter how many window or door sensors we added, our monthly fee stayed the same. Vivint increased the monthly fee based on the number of sensors so our cost ended up going down, and I didn't feel restricted on how many sensors to add to our house in order to feel secure. We also signed up for the smart thermostat which ties in with the system and the same app - previously we had the Nest which was run off a separate system - so its really convenient to have all the control in one place now. Plus the geofence feature based on cell phone location is pretty awesome - if I leave the house and forget to arm the house, I'll get a reminder and my thermostat will automatically override my program and turn down the house temp to my away temperature!
