We went to Lions Park for the first time since it was opened last fall, and we were blown away! There's plenty to do at the park for my boys (ages 3 & 6), and even the adults enjoyed it.
From their website: "Lions Park features a poured-in-place surface making elements accessible by wheel chair. There is a 12′ tall Mega Tower, Tornado and Tube Slide, swing structure, tot elements, and Minnesota’s first Gravity Rail which is due for installation this spring."
That Gravity Rail is truly awesome. What a blast my kids had on it!
And you're connected to the rest of Long Lake's park features; the paths take you from Lions Park to Long Lake...
Read moreOk, so first of all, the zipline rollercoaster swing thing, is awesome! Wish they had something like it everywhere! I do wish it was a longer ride, but fun nonetheless. Small playground area, but plenty to do for kids and maybe even smaller adults too 😅
Soccer field looked well kept and maintained. Also, there is a small pond, so Id highly suggest keeping an eye on younger kids as it is relatively close to the playground area. It is surrounded by cattails and other pond weeds. Cool...
Read moreFirst time there and only went to the first park, it looks to have 3 parks throughout with lots of nice walking trails. I was happy to see some porta potties so we didn't have to leave once the kids had to go. But there was only one picnic table to sit at next to the park. The other seats were too far away to be used for parents watching their littles run around. I would've liked to see more seating close...
