I responded to an advertisement in the Strib about a medical study they were conducting. People on the phone were very polite and briefly explained things, sent me a consent form (which I read), asked for photos and scheduled an appointment. Went to the initial consultation with a Doctor and was informed I wasn’t a suitable candidate and sent home, which is fine. I asked about my time and miles and was told “too bad” and goodbye. I don’t mind not being in the study but I think they should have been transparent up front. I put in time, read and completed forms, sent photos and spent money on gas. I asked her twice if I would be paid for the first visit. She stated as long as you show up you will be paid for first visit. I went back for another study 10/25/21 didn't qualify this time.
