I responded to an advertisement in the Strib about a medical study they were conducting. People on the phone were very polite and briefly explained things, sent me a consent form (which I read), asked for photos and scheduled an appointment. Went to the initial consultation with a Doctor and was informed I wasn’t a suitable candidate and sent home, which is fine. I asked about my time and miles and was told “too bad” and goodbye. I don’t mind not being in the study but I think they should have been transparent up front. I put in time, read and completed forms, sent photos and spent money on gas. I told them the medicaions I was on on my application. When she called me I told her what medication I was on and she said oh defiantly jot a issue. I asked her twice if I would be paid for the first visit. She stated as long as you show up you will be paid for first visit. I took half day off work came in and 20 mins into my appt they said I wasnt eligible due to my medicaion . When I left I asked for payment she said I'm not eligible due to not being eligible. Really nice people, this place does medical studies for drug companies. Mine was for Nerofibrosis, looking for cures for my tumors. Did a study two years ago, gave me an ointment to use. I went back for another study 10/25/21 didn't qualify this time. Back again for another study 10/22 still have a positive view on the Doctor and staff, I live a few miles from the clinic, traffic on 35w towards near brighton is not a fun drive especially when there are accidents.
