➡️Update: Karl Chevrolet takes pride in their reputation and returned my call Friday afternoon. I was able to work with Leo who was responsive, transparent, and patient working out a deal for the purchase of a vehicle. I am pleased that we were able to put together a deal and pleased for both parties that we resolved the rocky start and finished with a positive and productive experience. Thank you Leo for your time.
ORIGINAL POST: Monday, called and spoke to Gary to see if the 2019 Suburban was available. I was told it was available but he would have to check if the dealership dealt with Massachusetts RMV because it is a pain. Because I live an hour and a half away I offered to leave a deposit and explained I wanted to do as much as possible over the phone. I was told no to leaving a deposit, you know because he had to first figure out if they deal with MA RMV. Tuesday, no return call from Gary. I called him at 4:00 and he told me the same thing "well as I told you dealing with the Massachusetts RMV is a pain." I asked to speak to a manager because at this point I felt like he was brushing me off. I had already explained I had no trade-in, financing already secured, offered to leave a deposit, and wanted to purchase the Suburban. I spoke to Leo Karl at 4:10 pm and explained. He said they do in fact deal with Massachusetts and deal with out-of-state sales all the time. I again reiterated that I would like to purchase the car, he stated he was going into a meeting and would call right back as soon as he checked the availability of the Suburban. No call back! I called and left a message for Leo on Wednesday. No call back. I reached out via their online chats throughout the week and confirmed the vehicle was still available. I also was told the message to Leo that I was expecting a call back would be passed along. My husband called on Wednesday and spoke to Gary, who said he would check on availability and get back to him. NO call back. It is now Friday, and I still have not received a call back from the dealership. So, one last attempt, I put in an online request to Steve Karl this time and am awaiting a return call for a purchase and home delivering option of the vehicle. I am glad I live an hour and a half away because if I had to deal with this in person after a long drive I would be really upset. Beyond frustrated and disappointed that a company in the business of selling vehicles doesn't seem to want to sell their vehicle to a ready and...
Read moreAs our family decided to look for a new car, we selected Karl Chevrolet based on its reputation of delivering great service to its customers. Karl Chevrolet exceeded our expectations. Three words might capture our experience: 1) Professionalism. True professionalism rests on the confidence of the service that's been offered. We were greeted with warmth by the owner, and we were given honest and knowledgeable advice as to what to keep in mind in purchasing the car of our choice, a Chevrolet Suburban. 2) Courtesy. During the entire process, our family did not detect any form of confusion or frustration with our many questions as we were coming closer to making our decision to purchase the vehicle. The owner himself led us with patience and impeccable cordiality through a process that could be long and complicated. This form of courtesy made us feel reassured that we were not taken advantage of, and that we were treated with respect. 3) Composure. It comes as a corollary of anything that has been said above, but it is an important distinctive feature. There was never a moment in which we were pressured to purchase our vehicle, and we felt we had the complete freedom to make up our minds while we were considering different options. This sense of composure and self-confidence confirmed to us that we had come to the...
Read moreI usually get and oil change and my tires rotated here ever 4k-5k miles because i liked the service i received until recently. i usually pay around 85$ for it. Unfortunately the recent visit i ended up paying 133$ for it which is a significant increase from 4-5 months ago. The service center charges me for a 44k mile package that included and engine cleaner which i did not ask for nor was i even notified about it. my car only has 14000 miles on it as well so it made no sense why i was charge for that package. when i called back to speak to the service desk they said it was a new GM charge of some sort which as well didn’t make any sense on why a 14000 car still needed a engine cleaner. i wasn’t not even notified about this price increase or change in packaging/pricing. all i asked for was an oil change and tires rotation but apparently received more than i wanted. i would not have gotten it done there if i knew of this price change as i have financial issues and nor do i feel comfortable receiving service there anymore. very disappointing and feeling extortion for money from this recent visit. EDIT: Karl Chevrolet did reach out to me after noticing my complaint. They helped out with the problem and did resolve it. Knowing that management did not ignore my situation was a relief and will continue doing...
