So I’m not quite sure what this pharmacist’s name is, because he’s not special enough to have his name on the wall listed in store like our faithful Jason who sadly retired, but earlier today I went in because my doctor had put in for two medications yesterday 8/24, so by now they should be ready but one had an issue so I went to drop off and had an interaction with this pharmacist. First he just seemed extremely bothered that he even had to assist me. Constantly shaking his head and just overall seemed to absolutely hate his job. You’re a pharmacist, aka customer service is key, yet no customer service abilities at all. Seemed very bothered he had to enter my goodrx info into the computer then told me my script would be available after 3pm. Didn’t go back until around 630. Went up to the counter and was told, it would still be another hour. Great, a half hour before they close. I left and got a phone call from him and he stated that the cvs on Hope street in Stamford had my meds because they didn’t get it in the shipment today, and that he transferred it there. Awesome. Went there and was told that since he is a pharmacist, he should know better that a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE cannot be transferred to another cvs unless it is a refill which it was not. This guy not only needs to be fired, but I feel like I’m not overstepping when I say his license should be either put on hold, and he should relearn some things or should have it completely revoked. How are you going to tell a customer to waste their time going to a completely different cvs and say it was transferred when that specific medicine cannot be transferred because it’s a controlled substance. You’re a pharmacist, you should know better....
Read moreI have never experienced worse service, at this New Canaan CVS, and this is NOT the first time. I have been calling the pharmacy all day, from my work, to get my 100 year old father's RX refilled. CVS said the Dr. did not send it over, but she DID. The Dr's office too, called 7 times on the Doctor's line before someone answered. Guess what?? they DID get the doctor's order, but it was just an insurance glitch. NO ONE tole me this for 5 hours!!! It is now 5:26 pm and I have been trying to talk to the pharmacist since 9:15 am. The insurance glitch was fixed and now I haven't received the text that the RX is ready for pickup. I called to see it it is ready for pickup,, on hold 34 mins. As others say, the pharmacist was so rude. I have transferrerd all his prescriptions to an online pharmacy that all his Drs. use. This is insane, My 100 year old dad never got his meds today. I am beyond livid. THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. I LIVE 5 TOWNS AWAY AND I MIGHT DRIVE THERE TONIGHT TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON THERE!!! I AM VERY SURPRISED AT CVS. The 4 CVS's in Fairfield are great, including their automated systems to refill, and they answer the phone if needed!!! Another thing, they DO NOT have delivery. For a fee they will US Mail your RX, which can take days, even to NC! I was told, once again," "oh, someone should have told you" that we just use US Mail, its not really...
Read moreI made arrangements for my prescription to be delivered from the CVS in New Canaan. When it was, the bottles opened in transit and the tablets were loose in the bag. I called CVS and asked if the bottles caps could be taped before mailing. I didn’t think it was a big ask. Especially, since this was the second time it happened.
The employee, could not have been more rude. She said it wasn’t their problem. That I should call the post office and then call the doctor and get another prescription and they would fill it and I would have to pay for it out of pocket. She also said it wasn’t a liquid so she didn’t think it was a big deal. I said “I’m not asking for any of that and I never said it was a liquid. I’m just asking if you could tape the bottles closed before shipping so it’s more sanitary when I receive it. Her response “you need to calm down”. I was calm, frustrated yes, but I was speaking slowly and clearly because I felt she wasn’t understanding the issue.
Needless to say, I have transferred my prescriptions out of that store. It’s a shame because I have had positive experiences there with prescriptions and vaccines in the past. What’s the saying about...
