I didn't want to go to this store, but it was a favor to my dad to get him to be quiet. We were Christmas/Birthday shopping for my little brother. He was to get two suits for future internships and job interviews. Everything start out wonderful. Suits looked nice. They were on sale. Great! My little brother is young and slim so we had to get the suits altered. This was strike one. Unknowingly, the tailor charged us $59 dollars per alteration. Then on top of that we get to the counter to pay (strike two) and the guy at the register is a total A Hole. I believe his name was Steve or something. I didn't pay any attention to who he actually was. Why would anyone this important have such heinous business practices. So Steve told my brother and I that we couldn't use "A Store" coupon unless we bought two suit bags. The coupon was for $25 off. If we purchased the suit bags we would only get $15 off with the bags costing $10 in total $5 a piece. I assumed this was a special coupon ignoring Steve's attitude and contributing it to the holiday rush. He tried to cover the bottom of the coupon which read $25 dollars off when you spent $100. Technically we could have used this coupon twice. But no no Steve said in order to use HIS coupon we HAD to buy those bags. I just said okay. When we had gotten home we found our exact store coupon that matched Steve's store (HIS) coupon. What a joke! By this time the store had closed. So we went their the next day to get our money back and use OUR store coupon. Immoral business practice deserve disciplinary action of the highest caliber. When we got to there we asked to speak to a manager. The sales associate say the district manager is there and guess who she points to...Stephen! WOW hahaha. So now we have to deal with this A Hole again! So I put on my boxing gloves and my dad, brother, and myself hop into the ring. I immediately ask for a refund. Stephen stopped me. He said if I wanted a refund he would have to take the bags back. I said okay. We never wanted the bags to begin with. He marches to the back of the store and grabs the bags. Fine. Then he tells us that he wasn't going to give us the discount (the store discount that was already applied because we weren't spending more and buying the bags). I said okay. We were going to use our own store coupon which was the same as his! He was not happy about this. So as my dad is handing him the coupon to reapply the discount Steve snatches the coupon from my dad's hand. I was not going to tolerate that kind of behavior. I had to tell Steve off in a gentleman like manner. How unprofessional he was. He's supposed to be the district manager. I got my refund. Or at least I hope I did. But needless to say, they lost at least 3...
Read moreUnprofessional, is an understatement!! I visited this store about a month ago, on a Tuesday evening after work. I "used" to like this location thus me driving al the way here, in afternoon traffic. However, after my experience, I will never visit this store again. I witness and extremely unprofessional, Male chauvinist, uneducated manager literally reprimand and employee right in front of me. I hear him, way before I got to cash register and I just stood there for him to see me in hopes he would take the conversation in private, NEVER HAPPENED! So I proceed to checkout line, he never stopped. The cashier was intimidated and embarrassed as it was visible all over her face. As an EEO Civil Rights practitioner, I simply couldn't believe this behavior. She was being reprimanded for her treatment of a customer, I did not witness that scene so if she did something wrong, its okay to bring it to her attention BUT not in front of customer, which made him no better than what he was reprimanding her for!! This manager continued his rant to the point I had to get his attention in hopes he would settle the situation. I said, excuse me do you have any discounts for customers who have to witness you going off on an employee in front of everyone. He very snidely said, you listening to our conversation? I said sir as loud as you are everyone in the store heard you. He replied, well I guess I'll leave and no we don't have any discounts. What made this entire ordeal worse, the young lady checking me out said this happens all the time and he was yelling at her earlier. She was so afraid, she wouldn't give me his name for fear of her job because he would know she gave it to me....COMPLETELY...
Read moreI had the pleasure of Mike assisting our family in acquiring a look we selected based a Google image idea. He was walking fast, as is his gait, & already helping another customer. I was greeted, asked of our needs & quickly given the correct size of requested items. Yellow measuring tape in capable hands with a caring professional heart makes the experience optimal. We were VERY pleased with Mr. Mike. As busy as he was, helping several others who subsequently arrived, he checked in, made suggestions and adjustments that exceeded our expectations, all the while doing the same exceptional level of service for the additional clients. No one was neglected or left unattended, amazing to watch, flawlessly executed. Mr. Mike has a sense of style which is the true caveat to being superb at his job. Each client may not know inherently which style is best for them, Mr. Mike has great skill in gently listening, asking great questions, then guiding the customer to a successful look for the special occasion This is not job training, but years of experience and a personal concern for excellence. Not all employees are capable or even interested in providing this level of service. Not all clients can appreciate this level of service. Eye contact, listening ears and manners still matter to my family & I. Bravo, Mr. Mike! K & G' s secret weapon for great service. 4 stars because the store was limited on big and tall selections, 5 star service...
