sakura express — Restaurant in New Carrollton

So I usually dont go to these places because I always end disappointed and angry at something.... this time I decided to go here and give it a try because the restaurant said "grand opening" so thought ok let's give it a try, they might actually try to do a good job since they're new and want to attract costumers. I ordered a bento box... well, i was wrong. First thing I notice on my food is hairs in the sushi. They were right there so obvious. I'm wondering how the cooks there missed it WHEN IT WAS SO OBVIOUS. See picture. finally, decided to try the rest of the food. The fried rice was not cooked well it was still very hard and the chicken was ofcourse burnt.

I wish restaurant owners a had a little more love for their businesses and customers.

Came in after a long day. Got 3 dinners. Swiped card and entered pin. All good. The lady tells me that the payment went through but only to the bank, tells me that I need to pay again because the funds did not go to them. Explained that this has happened before and that the bank would refund my first transaction in 2-3 days. I told her this is too much effort for takeaway. I decided to get pizza instead. Now I have to see if my bank does in fact give me my money back. If not, seems like I will be now spending some serious time on the phone with my bank and potentially Sakura. Not the Saturday ever dinner plans I had in mind.

If this has happened in the past as she explained, why has this not been resolved.

Chicken teriyaki is nice but not worth the potential investment of time with banks.

The food is great! Well proportioned, CONSISTENT, clean atmosphere, and certainly fast. This is my 5th or 6th time here in the last 2 months and they nailed it each time with the food! (Habachi taste and freshness.) Now... The little girls they have answering the phone is unprofessional at times and don't seem like they care to take your order and be appreciative of you choosing to spend your money at a place that helps pay their bills; but NEVER MIND them... Stay polite, place your order and enjoy the food. Hopefully, they will rotate out the order takers and cashiers to represent the quality of food with the quality of service. All in all, I have received AMAZING food quality here...
