Avoid this KFC location at all costs.
I regret that I went to this KFC location today at 1 pm. This location has notoriously given tiny broken chicken wings, and I ordered a two-piece #2-original. As I communicated with the cashier over the intercom, the rude manager jumped into the conversation (apparently, all headsets hear the drive-thru discussions).
When I received my order, I pulled over to the park to begin eating. I looked into the box, and I had a small, deformed wing; the most significant part of the wing was missing, just a nub. Quality of food is a recurring issue here, and even though it was raining, I got out of my car and walked back to the drive-thru window to ask for a replacement wing.
I showed the window attendant (a young man) the two-inch deformed wing, and he said, "what's wrong with it?" He pretended to be puzzled. I asked him to get his manager because I wanted the wing replaced. That was a mistake; she did not help the situation at all. She inflamed the situation.
She looked at me and said, "well, I do not look at the wings." Then she said another excuse, "What if they are all like that?" Then she raised her two arms at me and continued to rationalize. I said it is obvious you want the last word. Then I said, "look, I am the customer. Are you going to make it right with the customer?" She slammed the two drive-thru mini windows and stormed off! Another employee appeared after 2 minutes with a wing on extended tongs and dropped them in my box without saying a word. The manager did not have a leadership or customer-first attitude to walk back over! She was extremely rude.
I did not eat the chicken as the new wing had some wet yellow substance, which I assume was batter from the tongs. I wasted $7.19, but it is a lesson finally learned. I will never stop there again, and I advise any potential customer do the same.
I will check this post from time to time to respond to comments or questions, inviting the ownership to respond. I will be more than happy to talk about this experience and my previous experience with this drive-thru approximately two months ago.
(I am asking the owner to review the security tape of this interaction – May 7, 2022, approx....
Read moreI took a trip with my mom to KFC after coming from Delaware Park. I went through Drive Thru and was placing my mom's order the person on speaker was very rude we were told that they had no ice but they were trying to charge full price for drinks. Drive thru cashier had an attitude and manager was no better. I asked for my money back and she had the audacity to tell me not to come back to her establishment. Worst customer service ever. Would not recommend this KFC to anyone. The manager clearly does not know how to run the establishment. If you run out of ice and want to charge full price then you go to a store and buy ice for your machine. If you don't have change in your drawer you don't get an attitude when telling the customer. Most establishments won't let you go for change so why should I. When a customer tells you your worker has a bad attitude you don't call your customer a liar and blame your customer for the young people leaving. Keeping staff has nothing to do with me or anyone else as a customer. Manager argued me down when I in no way was trying to argue. She was very unprofessional and does not know how to treat a customer correctly nor run a business correctly. I don't see that KFC being in business much longer while I was there several other customers were having issues with their orders. To the KFC owner when you run a successful business you understand that the customer wants what they pay for and that greeting a customer does not come with an attitude or ignorance. I've worked in customer service for over 25 years and the behavior that I seen was appalling. I will never go back to that establishment and it is by my choice not hers. Bad customer service does not get my money. They have a bunch of workers working for a check but not liking their job and it shows in the treatment of the customers. I hope they coach the workers and fire the manager because a business has to be conducted properly in order to flourish. This KFC in NewCastle is horrible. I can only imagine what they do to people's food when they get mad. Go down the road to Popeyes you get way better service and they have...
Read moreIncident Date 8/7/2022 at 7:30 PM - The absolute worst and most unpleasant interaction I have ever experienced when attempting to place an order. Upon arriving, myself and other customers tried to enter the dining room to find all doors were locked, so the drive thru was the only choice. It would have been extremely helpful if someone was outside to inform customers that only Door Dash orders were being processed. On top of all that much wasted time, when I was told the situation (again once at the speaker after 40 minutes of waiting), I simply asked out of disbelief, 'Huh...do you know how long I've been sitting here?'. A woman then proceeds to rudely interrupt and loudly tell me that yes, that's all they're accepting and 'end of story'. As she continued yelling at me, I let her know that I could hear her and she didn't need to talk to me that way. She said that they (she) were giving back what I was giving; though I only responded in a surprised and dumbfounded manner, not argumentative. She continously talked over me and dismissed anything I attempted to say in my defense about my intent, being completely rude, unreasonable, and very publicly disrespectful; telling me to just pull forward. Thankfully, the driver ahead of me could empathize and made a comment about the rude service she had also just received while ordering...at least allowing me to know that it wasn't just me. Absolutely the most asinine, rude, uncivil, discourteous, nasty, and unprofessional customer service and employee I've had the misfortune...
