Walgreens store #11034, just outside Historic New Castle, has some great qualities. It's clean, well-organized and not cluttered, and the people are super-friendly. But the company has to do something about the god-awful music. The songs themselves are irritating - tuneless vocorder pop garbage by nameless artists. But today, Sept. 7, 2025, it was also LOUD. And extremely distorted - as if sound from a 1960 AM radio that was turned up to distortion level was being piped into the store. I saw employees 15 feet apart having a hard time understanding each other. Impossible to ignore. This is for me a major disincentive to enter this store again - a pity, since it's conveniently only 3 blocks from my home. I was told that the music, as well as the heating and A/C, cannot be adjusted because it is centrally controlled by Walgreens. That is not only a ridiculous policy - they don't trust the managers they hire? - but, particularly regarding the music, it makes for an uncomfortable customer experience.    Read moreI went to Walgreens to get my prescription filled, the girl asked me was I going to wait or come back for it and I said I will wait, so I went around and meet my shopping and I was waiting for my phone to go off because it usually goes off when it's ready so I went back and when I went the pharmacy and I started knocking on the door and saying we are closed back tomorrow, I had to get to assistant manager to get my prescription back I think this is was so rude, someone needs to talk to your pharmacist and teach him how to be nice and not rude, the assistant manager tried his best and explain to the pharmacy that they didn't say they're closing but he just got my prescription that they told me to come back the next day, I did go back the next day and I talked to the manager and I told him how rude the pharmacist what's towards me, I really like shopping at Walgreens but I don't think I'll ever take more prescription there again, at least...

Service as in getting prescriptions filled, I had something called in on Tuesday for a procedure this coming Monday, they didn’t have it in stock so said they would order. It’s now Friday, it’s still not filled and no one at the pharmacy has answered the phones I was on hold 3 separate times today for over 20minutes then their system disconnected me, this is extremely frustrating! They commonly don’t have medications in stock. Also I have an infection on my foot and got a script for a cream, it took them over 24hours to fill!
