New Market Cleaners — Local services in New Market

I called this store before bringing in my curtains and was clearly quoted $90. That was the only reason I decided to drive all the way here. When I arrived, however, the price suddenly jumped to $170 — almost double what was promised.

Even more unacceptable, the staff didn’t even bother to measure the curtains. She simply touched the fabric briefly and threw out a number. My curtains only cost about $300 total, yet they charged me $170 just to shorten them. That price is outrageous, unprofessional, and completely out of proportion for such a basic service.

This kind of misleading and careless business practice shows a serious lack of integrity. Unless the store is willing to resolve this issue, I cannot recommend...

I've been coming to New Market Cleaners two-three times every month since 2021 and I have always been impressed with the job they do. The owner, Yuri, does excellent work with alternations for everything including my wife's dress, and she goes the extra mile to replace cracked or missing buttons on any of my shirts that are being pressed and dry cleaned. IMO, New Market Cleaners is fairly priced. You get what you pay for - basically a guarantee that all your family's dry cleaning, laundry and alternations will come back spotless and flawless. My husband and I recently moved to New Market and New Market Cleaners made us feel so incredibly welcomed. They cleaned and hemmed numerous curtains, each one done to perfection. We were overjoyed to discover that they also offered seamstress work and designed and made two absolutely gorgeous valances for our living room entryway.
