Today I went into the New Milford, Ct store and I waited about 20 minutes for a money order. No bigee! However, when I got to the desk a couple came buy just as I reached the desk to were I was standing and they were annoyed because I was being waited on first, I was next in line. Apparently, they were here before me awhile ago and a computer went down that was supposed to process their order for what ever they needed. The clerk who was by herself told me very sharply, "they are next in line, not you!!!" Then she explained their situation w/ the computer to me. O.k., first of all she was very rude and should have told me the situation before hand. I said, "I would have gladly let them go first if you told me the situation." She was nasty, snarling and extremely condescending. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Does Walmart train their employees to chill out and be tolerant when it's busy? Hello, I've been working retail since I graduated college. I've been on both sides of the fence, the executive and the sales associate and would tolerate that behavior of my people, whatsoever. Perhaps, she was having a bad day? I work for Bed, Bath & Beyond always with a smile. I am human but I know how to treat people the way I want to be treated!!! I walk into my job w/ a smile on my face regardless. My sister is dying and my nephew just got pulled off of life support. Would I take it out on anyone, not on your life because I am also a customer and once again I want to be treated the way I treat my customers. Some people just don't belong in retail and she is one of them. You have to be a people person and if you have to, fake that smile, be polite when your world is caving in....
Read moreThis review is written to acknowledge how impressed I am with the exceptional service by the pharmacy staff, both professionally and personally. More specifically in regards to outstanding service, I am extremely grateful for the pharmacist Theresa Oria. She takes that to a whole 'nother level! She treats you as if you were part of her family- making sure that you're getting the proper care. Dealing with the doctors, insurance companies, etc., whatever it takes to make sure you were going to be able to get your medicine- all the while asking you about how your Uncle Joe was doing or if you finally had gotten your oil changed on your car. She is always going above and beyond! An example of her character is showcased in this present time where things are in dire straits, solutions haven't been put into place, and people are struggling with not having access to their medication. More specifically being in quarantine, and no other resources to help them obtain their prescriptions due to Walmart not having a drive thru or a delivery service, what are customers supposed to do?? Nobody (town, government, etc.) had thought of implementing a resource for that yet. But when I let Theresa know what my dilemma was, that's when she immediately started "spinning her wheels" trying to figure out a way to fix this issue. She stated that she would be off the next day- but she would have a meeting to resolve the problem (possibly curbside service)- and call me the next day! I have 100% faith in Theresa that she will come up with a plan. She will implement the plan. And she...
Read moreThis is the cleanest and most orderly Walmart I’ve ever been to. Walmart is Walmart as we all know, but at this store my family felt safe and relaxed. The employees showed an acceptably moderate degree of professionalism, and overall the vibe was pretty good. We ordered online and arrived for curbside pickup. When we arrived we let them know through the app that we were waiting outside. We waited 10 minutes and I told my wife, “I’ll bet they don’t look at the screen and they have no idea we are here”. Sure enough, I called the number on the sign in the parking space and the woman said, “Oh yes, I see you on the screen now”. The point is that had I not called the number, I would have been sitting outside for a long time. Once she knew I was there, she brought out the packages quickly. One star lost for a poor, non-working curbside pickup system. Just remember that if you do curbside pickup, don’t sit around and wait because their notification system through the app doesn’t work. This will be our go-to location when we need to shop Walmart, as it is relatively clean and orderly. We drive farther to shop here because the one in Danbury, our home town, is a nightmare of filth, disorder and danger from...
