I just had the most fabulous day! When that’s your first thought after spending more than 8 hours in a stylist’s chair, you know you’re talking about excellence!! Salon Vous and staff are the epitome of greatness, professionalism, quality and value. Kieu Vu is an absolute master of her craft, setting by example the highest level of standard and leads a crew of truly exceptional women who obviously love all things hair. While I was there, I observed an array of cuts, colorings, extensions and updos but what impressed me most was the degree of camaraderie amongst all the stylists. They were consistently willing to help one another with application and technique to ensure perfection for each and every client in the shop. I found this sense of collaboration so refreshing and such a rarity these days. Shira specifically was so helpful and enthusiastic with my particular treatment. I myself was there for a Japanese Straightener and let me tell you it was no small feat on my frizzy mane of kinky hair that falls below my rear. You MUST have Alis Connor do your hair… She first has an awesome consult. She focuses in on what you want and then makes it work for your specific head. I gave her my ideas and she turned it into a beautiful bohemian layered do with babydoll bangs. She listened to what I wanted and delivered the PERFECT head of hair. I kept having to check myself in the mirror. I’m in LOVE with the do. Now let’s talk about Alis herself. She has a demeanor that instantly relaxes you. You feel in good hands when you’re with her. I went with my mom—-who has barely any hair—-who has bad wrists and back problems so she can’t style her hair, has barely any hair to begin with. I thought for sure she wasn’t gonna be happy. Lo and behold she made her SO HAPPY with her cut. I’ve NEVER seen my mom ENJOY a haircut experience. She’s been on cloud 9 since. She did my daughters hair and my daughter LOVES IT. ALL-IN-ALL… We three have totally different heads of hair. Alis made masterpieces of all of them. Truly a miracle worker and the best experience I and my mom and daughter ever had!

I came to Salon Vous for a keratin treatment after even attending a counseling session where I was assured my hair would stay smooth and frizz-free for 6–9 months. However, within just two weeks the results were almost completely gone. When I went back to show my hair and ask for a re-touch, the store manager was extremely rude. She did agree to redo it since it was clear that $400 should not produce this result, but even on the day of the re-do she was rude again and claimed they only promised 3 months, saying I must have misheard. If the regular keratin costs less and lasts about 2–2.5 months (6–9 weeks), how does the ‘longer-lasting’ option cost significantly more yet promise only about two extra weeks?
