I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pita Paradise that left a lasting impression with its vibrant flavors, generous portions, and welcoming ambiance. From the moment the food arrived at our table, it was clear that this place takes pride in both authenticity and quality.
The lamb chops were the highlight of the meal—perfectly grilled with a beautiful char, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was rich, juicy, and flavorful, enhanced by the light smokiness from the grill. Accompanying the lamb was a generous serving of yellow rice that was aromatic and fluffy, along with a creamy, smooth hummus topped with olive oil and served with warm flatbread.
To end the meal on a sweet note, we had kunafeh, a traditional dessert made of shredded phyllo dough layered with sweet cheese, soaked in syrup, and topped with crushed pistachios. It was warm, gooey, and satisfyingly sweet—an absolutely perfect finish to the meal.
I also recommend the Lebanese Tea is super delicious and refreshing, perfect for summer. This place had outside sitting and was...
Read morePita Paradise Mediterranean Grill is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in New Orleans. From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere paired with the beautiful décor sets the tone for something special.
I tried the Chicken Shawarma Plate and it was absolutely packed with flavor—tender, perfectly seasoned meat with fresh, vibrant sides. The hummus is next-level creamy and the falafel was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. You can tell everything is made with love and authenticity.
The menu has a great variety at reasonable prices, and I love that they offer both sandwich and plate options. The combos are a solid deal too, especially if you want to try a bit of everything. And shoutout to the staff—they were super friendly and attentive.

Read moreMy girlfriend and I had the opportunity to try Pita Paradise on Freret this past Friday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We asked to dine inside but received the bare minimum in terms of service. It took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was brought out in Styrofoam containers — with no silverware or water provided.
The food itself was underwhelming. It arrived cold, the meat was dry and lacked flavor, and the tzatziki sauce on the side had solidified. To make matters worse, the prices are far too high for the quality and portions being served — $8.00 for a side of pita is simply unreasonable.
The only redeeming qualities were the convenient location and the cozy interior. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time or money at...
