The people that work in the Post Office are very nice and Helpful. However I have made complaints about my mail delivery and pickup for 5 years now. I live in a 8 apartment complex and there is a mailbox on the premises. People living here are not people friendly and take the mail addressed to another tenant and place it in the outgoing box. The Mail delivery Person does not care about this box. When it is full he places all the mail in the Package delivery box. Many of the addressees do not live here anymore, but I do. I have learned not to put mail the outgoing slot because it will not be picked up and delivered. My CHILDREN mail letters to Santa every year and the mail sits there. Today I retrieved a letter to Santa from my child. I still have the letters that they mail each year that I find in the Package box. I am tired of complaining because the Person at the Louisiana Ave Post office does not take it seriously. When I did make complaints all that was done is their calling the Postal Delivery Person on my route on the Cell Phone. All I want now is my mail in the Outgoing Box. Today is Thursday and it was only because of a call that I placed to the post office that our mail was picked up and delivered. When asked why the carrier hasn't picked up our mail, they responded by saying that there was no mail to deliver, therefore there was no reason to pick up mail. If you have a question about your package the customer service rep gets way too defensive as if you shouldn't even ask a question. They hardly answer the phone (i recommend calling the moment they open) Also, what they say is protocol at USPS is not necessarily the case. They are very suspect and there is NO NEED to get defensive when all I have is a question about something I ordered. I have talked to others who have these same complaints for this post office.
