Michaels — Local services in New Orleans

Michael's you have got to do better!!! I make my living from sewing and crafting and need to have a avenue to be able to shop and purchase my materials without any hassel....Just left this store didn't find what I needed standing in front area next to security guard about five minutes trying to locate what I needed on line .....the cashier came running out asking to look in my purse and ask me to step back inside of store ...the store security bell didn't sound off until she came out and when I step back inside you heard nothing only she made it ding. I'm so upset because it's in my community and also very affordable with many items always on sale. BUT I refuse to pay to be mistreated !!! Also, I mention this treatment to my sewing and crafting community . Michael's, I'm lost for words at this one!!!! I just relocated to this city but checked my credit card. I have been shopping at Michael's in 4 other cities that I have lived in the past 10-15 years. I DID NOT LEAVE OUT OF THE STORE IF I WAS STEALING WHY STEAL AND STAND THERE ON MY PHONE FOR 5 -6 MINUTES ORDERING ON LINE....MAKE IT...

The 1 star is for the location. I love Michaels and buy from there quite often. I mostly do curbside pickup and have someone else pickup my order because the store is pretty distant. Usually, my order is ready within the 2-hour time frame (as stated on the website). There have been times it was not ready, but they would usually grab the items upon arrival. However, today I placed an order at 11:21 and they arrived to pick up after 2pm and was told they had to wait by Brandy. It was only 4 items total, 3 of which were the same product. After waiting a while, different young lady came to assist, and after searching for the order she contacted Brandy and was told they didn't have the product at all. Knowing that a customer was waiting on the order, that customer should have been informed that the product was not available as soon as the employee was aware. But instead, Brandy went on with her day and let the customer wait for an order that could not be fulfilled. The worst customer...

Glad there's a New Orleans location for this craft store. They have great customer service. Staff is always willing to help you locate items. Poster and picture framing department staff are very patient. Use the rewards program to receive up to 60% off regular price items. Kid friendly craft classes happen every week. You just have to buy the supplies to make the item. Entrance into the shopping center can be confusing if not familiar with the area. You can clearly see the signage from the street but at night you have to be careful of heavy traffic merging onto Claiborne Ave. Love the store especially if I run out of a crafting item. I don't have to go to Jefferson to...
