Update from my 1 star rating and review from 2018 (below), and upgrade to 5 stars based upon my visit in August 2021 for obtaining a new title. The OMV personnel in the office were significantly more customer focused, helpful and productive than the different ones I encountered during several visits in 2018. I experienced superb customer service from Tiara. She was very proactive and courteious in managing the doorkeeper and crowd control challenges of limited entry into this small building due to the COVID restrictions. When it was my turn and she waited on me, she provided excellent service and went above and beyond to assist me in getting a copy of my wife's driver's license sent in to the office electronically. I really appreciated Tiara's efforts, enthusiasm, and customer service. A marked difference from my visits two years ago.
1 Star Rating given due to ambivalent employees and manager. No sense or urgency or apparent regard for number of people in waiting room. Take a number system is present, but not used. Customers have to manage among themselves the order of who is awaiting service. OMV Representative complained to me about how she 1) hates her job 2) hates driving all the way from Denham Springs to New Roads. Fair amount of talking between employees including personal stuff, with no regard for people waiting. Witnessed employees joking about vocal complaints emanating from waiting room when someone jumped line and wasn't corrected by staff. Witnessed staff making snide remarks about the crowd in the waiting room. Observed this same behavior and grudging customer service during three visits. A fourth visit was excellent when there was a male employee there who usually works in St. Francisville. The people who work here regularly need some motivation and customer focus. ย ย ย Read moreBy far the worst experience I have had at a dmv since moving to Louisiana. Today sat for 2 and a half hours trying to get car tags moved from Assumption Parish to Pointe Coupee. Lights conveniently blink off for literally two seconds and they claim it will take hours for them to reboot. Ironically this is the third time in less than three months that we have gone to this location and the lights blink off at 2pm and they either made us leave or made an excuse why they couldnโt reboot the system. There were three kids getting DL for the first time and this โconveniently happensโ. Itโs sad that we have a DMV less that 7 miles from us and there is always a problem...

Hope they have cameras because I clearly was given the wrong information and kindly went back just for another worker to cut me off for no reason. No one expects great service at any dmv but they certainly have zero accountability going on there with the most rude staff. Gross behavior and certainly not professional...
