Such a disappointing experience at your store today! I was in with my husband shopping for some items for my daughter for confirmation gifts and Easter basket items. My husband had made a comment in front of one of the associates that was helping me that he needed to use the restroom. She told him that there was one in the store and said the second door on the right. Having never been into the store before he went into the employee restroom, not realizing that he was in the wrong place. While he was in the restroom another associate was banging on the door the whole time while he was in there, telling him that’s employees only. This was all happening while I was now in line to pay for items that I was purchasing. I could visibly see the three women behind the register, talking about my husband, very rudely and saying inappropriate things about him. I told all of them that that was my husband they were talking about and that that was the first time he was ever in that store and obviously didn’t know where he was going. They were very rude to him and the things that were said, but very nice to me because I was making a $200 purchase. Ultimately, one of the three women did apologize because they knew that I had seen them talking about my husband and heard what they said. However, it was all one of the most inappropriate, judgmental, disrespectful, and rude retail experiences I have ever had. Honestly, it doesn’t only matter how amazing the selection of merchandise you carry, but how you treat people. When you have a staff that treats people the way that we were treated today, who would want to shop there. That was my third time shopping there. I just left after being “followed around” by two older woman who worked there, maybe one was the owner? They were definitely trying to be inconspicuous about what they were attempting to do but having worked in retail in my past I understood what was going on. Not sure if it was my tattoo sleeve or the fact that I haven’t been there before but completely inappropriate. I’ve been in this shop many times and every time I walk through the door I am never greeted nor am I ever asked if I need assistance with anything. While walking through the business I hear a “welcome” to every person that walks in. When I am looking through the clothes, I’m never asked if I would like to start a fitting room for the items I’m holding (as everyone else is). I’ve definitely been made to feel like I am not wanted in this store. It could be the tattoos I have or it could be the fact that I “look” young(I’m 30 by the way) but it’s unacceptable.
