NSB has a lot of cool, on-trend places to eat, but our favorite is Yellow Dog Eats. Making it even better is the fact that there is a top-shelf brewery only a few doors down. But that’s a story for a different Google Review. One of the things we like the most about YDE is that they are vegetarian- and vegan-friendly. T’s a judgment-free zone, as it should be at the table. Eat what you like, but please don’t say a word about what we don’t eat. With that in mind, we decided to share a couple of items, the Vegetarian Nachos (and enormous pile of goodness) and the Sweet Potato Tico Tacos (sub the vegan chipotle aioli for the chipotle mango aioli). These two items presented a formidable challenge for us, but we rose to the occasion. Our taste buds were in orbit. The blend of sweet potatoes, beans, peppers, veggies, and salsas made these two items standouts in their own right, but even more fun to switch back and forth, a mouthful at a time. If it weren’t for sidewalk dining as well as quaint garden spot in the back, it would be a pretty crowded space. But these two areas plus the small interior provide enough space to accommodate more diners than would meet the eye. We’ll be back!

We got the chicken breast curry salad, the veggies were fresh! Very refreshing and the portion sizes can do for 2! We also got the green wrap, if you like food that has sweet and salty combinations you will definitely love this wrap and this place! My husband is not too much on the sweet and salty side, so he didn’t enjoy the wrap too much but I loved it! It all depends on what your personal taste is, and what you like on your taste buds. So choose accordingly. If you have peanut allergies make sure you let them know! The salad and wrap we ordered both had peanuts, I don’t like peanuts in food too much but this was enjoyable. Also the curry contains coconut milk. It makes it a tad sweet too. Lastly the pulled pork sandwich was another level! There’s many places that don’t get the pulled pork right but this place definitely gets it! The pulled pork is not too dry neither too wet, so you will not have issues with the bread soaking and getting soggy. Portion sizes are generous, you get your bucks worth. I recommend this place if you’re looking for something healthy, light and refreshing. It’s worth it. Hope you like it and enjoy.

“Amazing Food and Amazing Customer Service” The food was amazing and was well deserved the five stars! I was really satisfied with my order and Mackenzie was an amazing server she is well involved in her job, she has a passion to make people happy and make sure your experience is well worth the trip! Thank you so much for your amazing customer service. If you ever see her when you are here I definitely recommend talking to her cause she has a big passion for what she does and puts her heart out for people. The tacos were amazing. Wasn’t too sure about pulled pork tacos but they are amazing. The nachos were up there they had an orange sauce that was so amazing. Definitely worth the time and money to go here! 🥰 definitely will be back!

OUTSTANDING! Can't wait to go back! We've been wanting to try this place since moving to NSB! So many great places to try we finally made a point to come with friends for dinner. Honestly we thought it was a hot dog place and our neighbors thought it was a pet store LOL I caught a video on Facebook where the owner and cook were talking about what it's all about. They had me at We smoke our own pork every night!!!! The inside is a little small and there is not a lot of table seating but there is a bar to sit at so it works. The have a great out door patio out back with tables and a small bar and music I believe around 6pm every night. We chose to sit outside so we could listen to the music of Mary Cuchetti on her keyboard. Service was great, our food came pretty fast and the atmosphere was nice. Our meals were sooooo good! We all cleared our plates! I had the Lemon Shandy on tap, ohhhh soooo refreshing and goood! I will have to work my way through this menu and tap beers! We will certainly be back again! I can't believe we have missed out on this little place for so long! So check out their music lineup if you going. I'm reading complaints about the rock music was too loud?! Really?! Well not all music is everyone's thing so maybe check the schedule or plan your visit before the music starts. As far as the younger crowd complaints? Again, REALLY?! The place was packed by the time we left and there were all ages sitting at the bar, the inside tables and the back patio. As most New Smyrna Beach restaurants with outside seating the are dog friendly! There are water bowls out on the back patio that welcomes them! I for one love that the welcome dogs! We don't always take our Tucker with us but it's a nice option if we have him with us for a beautiful day of walking canal street for some quality outdoor time for him and us. If your not a fan of dogs in restaurants, well don't sit out on the patio or chose a place that isn't pet friendly. You won't find many places to eat in NSB or beachside that aren't pet friendly. If I had one complaint it would be the young man who kept coming out to the back of the patio and going into the storage closet? The back of his pants were torn out in places revealing his underwear, kinda gross and very unprofessional attire for a restaurant. Your patrons don't want...

My wife and I eat here about a handful of times a year and have been patrons for a few years at least. Never had a problem with the food or service. Even if the service is a little slow because they are busy, the atmosphere and sangria is enough to keep us happy.

Today July 21, 2023, we went to have lunch. Drove there specifically for lunch even though it is a bit of a trek for us. The place was busy, but all the workers where working and doing the best they could. The manager was seating people, so all cylinders were firing. Despite how busy they were, they were very friendly.

My review comes because we were sitting at the bar and were able to see into the kitchen clearly. One of the cooks drops a receipt on the floor and bent down to pick it up. He had a hard time grabbing the receipt. He was eventually able to grab it, but it was clear that his gloves touched the floor. He then reached into the bag of buns to retrieve a bun for an order. Didn't change his gloves, didn't wash his hands, nothing. How many times has he done that; or others for that matter? Just disgusting.

I told the bartender we didn't want our food and I wanted to pay for my sangria and leave. She was very gracious and said not to worry about it and we left. Needless to say, we will never go back. It's sad because we really like this place, just can't trust the cleanliness anymore.

Side Note: The curtain hanging on the kitchen doorway is filthy gross and all the servers etc. touch is as they go in and out. Sometimes they use the trays carrying the food to push the curtain open. That is...

Hostess was disorganized, so we got passed up a few times, took over an hour to seat us after 1pm. Try waiting around with a hangry 3 yr old girl and a baby, lots of fun. Once seated took awhile for server to great us but the manager got our drinks, cool. Server gets to us and takes our order. They serve tacos here and i try to order a chicken and cheese taco for our daughter, server says "we have chicken quesadillas on the kids menu." So im getting irritated at this point and im like "so your telling me you have tortillas, chicken and cheese and cant make a taco?" She says "well the cooks might not know..." so anways finally get our food, luckily there was alot of fun people to chat with. Food was mediocre and best of all daughters tacos were cold, didnt even bother to reheat the precooked chicken. Daughter was hungry so she didnt complain. My wife says something to the server and manager talks to us, tells us he will take care of kids meal and we can have a free ice cream cake, again , cool. We appreciate doing something but when we got the bill they have the kids meal @ 12 bucks! A little review of the food: they serve alot of "fancy" cold cut turkey sandwiches, wraps, nachos, ribs, salads and tacos. All easy stuff to make (i guess so teenager cooks cant mess things up, well youd hope) I had the pulled pork tacos with slaw on them, pretty good. My wife had a "fancy" turkey sandwich, not bad. Place had a great atmosphere just wish had better trained staff and...
