191 St — Local services in New York

The 191 Street Station is a very unique tunnel station in the Washington height Bronx New York.

The designs on the tunnel keep history and memories of the past struggles and aspirations of the minorities in the States alive. You will understand these challenges and struggles if you connect to the artistic expression on the tunnel walls. Its very unique in its way.

Though, walking through this tunnel could be very lonely at a moment like this during the COVID-19 period. Going through this tunnel in a company will be more interesting and interractive as you get to discuss alone the way and take photographs of the beautiful time. Though, there is 💡 everywhere in the tunnel, I still do not encourage tourists to 🚶 alone in the tunnel at a moment like this in 2020!

I will encourage anyone going through the subway in New York to always watch their back and move away from the yellow line. Be more careful and watchful when train is approaching as there are reported cases of people being pushed by unknown people to the moving train lane.

There is no public toilet here, there is no elevators but and its a bit difficult even for wheelchair access to this tunnel...

Terrible station. Tunnel looks like the tunnel of death. I don’t know when it’s the last time someone cleaned here but I know for sure the city knows this is an ongoing problem in the city. We pay taxes and spend money on the mta everyday and this is how they appreciate us? The train stations need a lot of cleaning and another cleaning that is over due is, cleaning up the criminal activity in trains...

It's your normal nyc subway station but the big attraction of this one is the amazing graffiti tunnel.
