Our Saviours Atonement Lutheran Church — Attraction in New York

I absolutely love this building. It houses so many programs and events for the community. I am not Lutheran and feel so welcomed here when I decide to attend service on Sundays. I grew up in Washington Heights and used to go to Girl Scout meetings at this building and church dances.I also used to work the Weight Watcher meetings here on Saturday and have participated in the art shows. It really is a pillar in the community. If you can please go to the OSA website and donate. The minimum is 3 dollars. It is so worth it. This building is not just a church, it is a community center welcoming to all. There is even a free dinner that happens every first Sunday of the month open to anyone who needs. Great church open to progressive ideas. LGBTQ friendly and into fighting climate change by planning to use Thermal heating in the future. A magnet for neighborhood events. 12 steps programs abound. I love this place. So important for the community. This building is more than a church. It holds a lot of events and groups, such as, Weight Watchers and karate classes.
