I've been coming here for several years as it's the closest 7/11 to my house. The experiences I've had in this particular store location weren't great. It was always sub-par and not terrible enough to complain... until today. The previous staff was bad but this one is even worse. The last time I visited, the store was blasting punjabi music.
I go in at nearly 4 am and ask how much a big gulp was. I go to get it and fill it with coke and ice to the top. Reason I did this was because I wanted to see the carbonation. This is completely my fault and I understand that. I dump it out then grab some food and drinks and go to the counter. Clerk tells me he saw me dump it out then wants to charge me for it. I try to explain to him WHY I did that and it was truly an accident. He wasn't having it and was very rude. I asked him if I can at least get the big gulp then since I'm being charged for it. He wants to charge me a "refill fee" that's almost the same price as the big gulp. I just pay for the big gulp and leave. Only reason I paid was to not get banned from the store.
I understand that it's probably policy but if it was an actual mistake, then at least give me a warning. Employees are allowed to use discretion but this penny pincher thinks I'm trying to scam him for $2.28. What is malicious about me filling a drink and dumping it out? And why tf would I pay a $1.99 refill fee in addition to the drink that...

The morning shift or afternoon shift very professional and polite. When a person comes late from work my experience a couple times it happened the employees attitude is can't do it ..I don't have the time to bother with you.
