Bay Babes Playspace — Local services in New York

Baybabes is our favorite place to play in Rockaway! We are so grateful that there is a place to go & play and not have to cross the bridge and leave the neighborhood. It’s a great place to spend a quiet morning before nap time, or to break up the afternoons. We had our daughter’s 2nd birthday party there, and it was the smoothest planning experience ever. The party was perfect and organized and so much fun! We just finished summer camp there and my daughter had so much fun. It’s not only a play place but they incorporate activities to help with development as well. As a mom in Rockaway where there are so few options to play indoors, I was excited when I saw that Bay Babes had opened. My one and a half year old had an absolute blast during open play! I was worried that she would get bored before the 90 minutes were up, but she stayed busy until the very end. There is a small grocery store, vet, firehouse, laundry room, kitchen, a slide, and a section for babies 12 months and under that includes a ball pit and some fun age appropriate toys! Highly recommend! They have cute little mini rooms with different themes that are perfect for imaginary play, a ball pit for the little ones, a large slide, and more. My little one plays for an hour and a half easily without getting bored (and isn't done when its time to leave!). Katelyn (and her husband when he's there) are always happy to interact with the kids, and overall create a super welcoming space.
