Absolute incompetence all around. My building CONSTANTLY receives mail for other buildings on my block. They do not stick mail in actual mailboxes, I have seen them just walk in, and toss a pile of mail for a 60 unit building in the lobby and walk out. 9/10 times when a vendor chooses to use USPS as their servicer, there are issues receiving the package. Like now, where my boyfriend was home yesterday, and they claim that my package was undeliverable because they "did not have access". The doorbell was never rang, and we received mail in our mailbox that day. Now today, I checked my mailbox twice. First time, still empty from collecting my mail from yesterday. Second time, I saw packages from USPS for other tenants in the building, but then I had a small orange notice, dated yesterday's date saying my package was undeliverable.. I attempted to set up a scheduled delivery, there was no option. I tried to call this actual office location, and the phone rang for 10 minutes before someone picked the phone up and hung it up. Called again, after 15 minutes of just straight ringing, I had to give in.
I do not understand, when I lived a few blocks over and had a different office servicing my building there was NEVER a problem. I do not understand why this location cannot do a single thing that they are contracted to do correctly. It should not be this difficult to try to receive mail, or to get in contact with someone...
Read moreMy reviews of the post office have reached some pretty amazing readership numbers, and I think it is only fair to point out that since this review, the Post Office has been freshened a bit, and I think they are responsive to the critique. Nice job, Post Office, the new flagpole looks great!
The older review is what they’ve been working to correct: it was: “Since this review, others have chimed in. Some are obviously local boosters, some seem to think I’m impatient and not from this part of the city. But I’m a local. This Post Office is so bad I genuinely thought it’s possible they just throw away the mail. Can you imagine a Post Office being that bad? Amazing. Anyway, I now repeat my original review as it is true and accurate today just as it was then. Service is horrific. Facilities are a dump. For a proud government agency this is the worst collection of bad customer service, indifferent quality and general stink I’ve ever seen. This place...
Read moreI went into this post office, it was refreshingly cool on a hot hot day. There was no one in line, and the woman at the counter was very patient waiting for me to get my life together. She was pleasant and I was out in like 3 minutes. 24hrs later I received an email saying they received my package back at the warehouse and today, 3 days later I received my refund credit. And to think I avoided this post office for a month dreading returning my baby’s shoes because the reviews on here are so poor. My package was not lost and no one was rude. Even leaving the facility people walking in were kind and helpful. She did say it does get very busy and sometimes she’s alone. This is my first time here and the best experience I’ve had in a post office in New...
