Go here… they are very nice and it’s much more affordable than all the other places . The docs are pretty knowledgeable aswell . I saw 3 for 90 dollars . Had more than 3 test done . Took an hour for me and my brother . I got two pairs for 600 including test for glasses and contacts . Their warranty is included for every pair . They have everything and upsell nothing . I love that it felt like a doctors office (despite being in a bjs) compaired to other glasses stores that act as tho glasses are an accessory when it’s a need . I have a high number so I got thinned hd lens with anti glare on both . I’m so happy with the price and I got juicy coture and another pair I don’t remember the brand . Very happy . You will be happy too. Even got a free trail pair for the contacts even tho I didn’t buy any . (From the test) ….. I was so worried about my eyes and I don’t have lost of extra cash so this was a great experience. The doctors were amazing and the nice sales lady that helped me fix everything into my budget and better and didn’t forget to let me know to account the discount I’d get since I wanted 2 . She did it in a very nice way didn’t feel like upselling more like she didn’t want me to miss out on the perk since I wanted two but had a fixed budget meaning if I had slightly less I couldn’t get two or I’d have to leave out anti glare or thinner lens .. she literally helped me instead of trying to upsell. She did help me decide on style I agreed with her opinion. Very happy I...
Read moreI had a rather unusual experience at BJ's Optical. I want to emphasize that this had nothing to do with the employees, who were very kind and considerate. The issue arose from their system for testing eyes for new prescriptions. They use a telehealth setup where a doctor appears on a TV screen to conduct the eye exam.
While I don't have any objections to telehealth, the test lasted about five minutes, and I was given a prescription that wasn’t suitable for my eyes. I expected that they would make some adjustments after obtaining the initial results, but that wasn’t the case. Another doctor appeared on the screen for about 30 seconds and asked if I was satisfied with the prescription. When I asked, "Is that my final prescription?" he confidently replied, "Yes." I informed him that the prescription seemed to make my vision worse. He suggested we redo the test, which meant going through the entire virtual eye exam again.
The second round was better, and I felt like I could see more clearly with the new prescription. However, there was still no fine-tuning or step-by-step adjustments, which I have come to expect after more than 20 years of wearing glasses. Typically, after determining a prescription, there are additional tweaks to ensure accuracy.
I left feeling discouraged and unsure if the lenses were right for me. I spent $80 on this eye exam, which is about average, but now I feel the need to get a second opinion just...
Read moreThe staff working at this location were great and this review has nothing to do with them—I have no complaints there! However, I was frustrated that the process of getting contacts took so long, which has never been my experience in 10 years of wearing them. First I had to come in for the exam, then I had to come get the trials a week later because they don’t have them on-site, and then a week later I had to return for a second exam. At the second exam, the remote doctor (who I spoke with via a video call) didn’t send the necessary information over to the optician, and a second doctor had to be contacted and I ended up waiting for over an hour. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout, but there’s no reason this process should have...
