Went to BYOU on Flatbush Ave with a family member to inquire about filler and facials for them, peels, and facials for me.
This company sells packages of 5. You are required to sign a waiver that states that if you cancel, the company will charge you $250 and refund you the remaining balance. Yesterday, when I had my peel , I heard a customer being told they could not receive a refund, and all sales are final. For 5 peels and 5, Hydra facials was a total of $1300.
2 syringes of filler and 5 Hydra facials were $2100.
I have received one hydrafacial and ine TCA peel so far.
The service is a bit ghetto. During the facial, there are no hot towels. They wipe your face with cheap hand napkins. They use tap water to wet your face to apply facial cleansers.
There are no towels placed around your neck. The facial was booked for an hour and we finished in 30 minutes.
For the peel, you do not receive anything to follow up with, such as a kit, facial cleanser, absolutely nothing.
You are told to wash your face and moisture and put on sunscreen. You have to ask questions to know what is going on.
In the bathroom, the toilet paper is on top of the toilet. There is a hand dryer, no napkins to wipe your hands or any spillage.
I have 4 more peels and 4 more facials to go, and I will complete them.
He staff is really nice. Ramnidt, the esthetician is sweet Elizabeth. The laser provide is super cool, Lexi, the receptionist, is a sweetheart. Anastacia, the nurse who provided the filler for my family member, is awesome.
This company over charges and does not provide services worth the money charged.
Due to the extreme high prices and the low class service provided, I will not return after I complete the package that I purchased.
The staff is awesome, but the owner needs to put some money into their business instead of just pocketing all the money.
WILL NOT RETURN. MANY CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE FOR BETTER SERVICE.
UPDATE:
MY FAMILY MEMBER WAS CALLED A FEW MOMENTS AGO AND VERBALLY ATTACKED BY A WOMAN NAMED ELIZABETH BOTTE
SHE STATED THAT DUR TO THIS REVIEW WHICH IS THE CUSTOMERS OPINION OF THE SERVICE WE ARE SLANDERING HER BUSINESS.
SHE STATED THAT SHE CAN REFUSE FUTURE SERVICES THAT WERE PAID FOR IN FULL BY ME DUE TO THIS REVIEW.
SHE ALSO STATED THAT SHE HAS TO FIRE HER STAFF DUE TO THIS REVIEW WHICH HAD NKTHING TO DO WITH HER STAFF AS I COMPLIMENTED HER STAFF.
HOW COULD THAT BE POSSIBLE? IN ORDER TO WRITE A REVIEW YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THE SERVICE.
SHE STATED THAT THIS IS NOT A SPA.
ELIZABETH BOTTE WAS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL ABOUT DISCUSSING THE CONCERNS OF HER CUSTOMER AS WELL AS OTHER CUSTOMERS THAT ALSO LEFT SIMILAR REVIEWS.
AS A BUSINESS OWNER IT IS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL TO ATTACK A CUSTOMER FOR THEIR OPINION ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE.
BEWARE: IF YOU POST AN HONEST REVIEW THAT IS NOT POSITIVE ELIZABETH BOTEE WILL THREATEN YOU AND VERBALLY ATTACK YOU.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAvoid getting LHR at this place. I had a wrist tattoo badly burned by a tech not paying attention after neglecting to check the area & not asking if I had any tattoos. When I went "ow, I think you burned me," I was told it was fine. She then implicitly blamed for not disclosing it when I had already shown her the piece in our prior session. This behavior repeated for weeks across several employees and managers: asking for pictures, saying it was nothing, showing them the deep burn in person with its clearly raised skin and being told they couldn't see anything, etc. The ink literally fell out of my skin, lol. Even a year later the lines are still raised and this part of my wrist tingles if I get anxious. COOL. Great gender affirming care.
The owner eventually offered to cover fixing the piece, but never actually did. I technically was given a couple of free sessions in compensation but I won't go back after all of this.
For a location that claims to be supportive of trans community, I was also misgendered more than comfortable.
But idk, other than the permanent & unfixable scar on one of my favorite pieces that I'll have forever now, the results were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeware! What you donāt realize is they make you sign a contract at the beginning of treatment. In order to get a refund they make you sign a paper saying you will not leave a bad review on any social platform. Also, after payment and signing paperwork I asked to see if they were licensed and thatās when they began to act very unprofessional. My mistake was I should have asked to see their license at the beginning. Itās always good to check in order to avoid malpractice. Stay clear of this place! Oh and by the way after much research I ended finding out this place is open under a gynecologist license. Which is very strange.
This is a reply To byou saying my review was false and lying and saying I was a former employee trying to ruin their reputation. I was never employed by byou. I was a customer. After my review they tried reaching out and offer me a facial but I will never do any business with them again. My experience with them is so bad I will not even accept free...
