Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy — Local services in New York

Not a great station... it's looked like this since 90's minimum repairs and upgrades compared to the stations in Williamsburg and Manhattan that this line passes through. Why not upgrade the first stop to match those in your nicer neighborhoods??? The B42 service is trash. The drivers wont stop at particular stops in the morning. It's never on time. If you arrive after 11pm consider taking a cab next door to the station, the busses don't follow the schedule. If you have had issues with the B42 like this review. The service on the L is the best in the city along with the 7. Both of these lines have CBTC (communications based train control) where the location of every train is tracked by a master computer and it spaces the trains in order to run more and keep them at a safe distance from each other. Most of the subway uses a 90 year old system. The mta wants the entire system to have CBTC but it’s very expensive . That’s why they had to put congestion pricing in Manhattan to raise the money. I could never complain about this subway station. There is always at least one ‘L’ train waiting to be boarded. They run like clockwork, probably because they are run by computer. Several buses stop inside the station for easy transfer. When you come home, they are waiting for you to hop on. Plus there is a municipal parking lot adjacent to the station. No other station in the system affords riders these conveniences. I consider myself lucky to live within walking distance. Station is accessible ♿️. A bit...
