Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

They say Jamaicans are rude, but this Golden Crust takes the whole cake. They have a dish that they sell on Fridays ‘Curry Crab and Dumplings’. I’ve been going to the restaurant for the last 3 weeks (every Thursday) to place an order for it, each time I was told we won’t have it. So Thursday Sept 20, I called instead. I called 2x, both times I was told “yes we will have make sure you come to place your order”. When I get there at 7:15 I’m told no we won’t have it. I said but I called 2x, a short older dark skinned Jamaican lady with the biggest chip on her shoulder states I said to call an check tomorrow, so far we are not having it. I left, and my friend knowing how much I have anticipated having this for weeks call again and was told yes we will have. When I called back the same lady with the attitude “yes we’re going to have it, I don’t work in the morning how was I to know”. Then in her attempt to hang up on me she put the phone down and starting discussing me, why I keep bothering her about this crab and dumpling and that’s not her concern. MANAGEMENT YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR STAFF. At the end of the day it’s customers that keep you in business. That woman needs to not deal with customers, she always have an attitude, for what reason, if you don’t like your job, don’t take it out on the customers. WORST GOLDEN...

The worse service ever. Very unprofessional and disgusting attitude. Learn how to talk to your customers when answering a question. I normally don't go to this location however it was convenient this particular day. I went here 2 days ago. I bought a bun and wanted chicken just by itself. I politely ask the lady if I can get chicken by it self. It was sweet chili chicken. This other worker next to her shouts at me and said NO WE DONT GIVE JUST CHICKEN ITS ONLY THE MEAL. Well excuse me!!! The tone wasn't needed. Out of order and to hostile. Disgusting dirty behavior to treat a paying customer this way. I have a few things to say about this location.

They are very inconsistent.

VERY CHEAP WITH PLASTIC BAGS. (Even when they know the sauce / gravy or oil will spill out)

DO NOT WANT TO WRAP YOUR FOOD WITH PLASTIC

I usually get the salt fish in the Morning with boiled dumplings and Calalou.

EVERY OTHER TIME I GO something is already done. I usually come in between 7- 8 o’clock I do not understand how and it’s establishment runs out of breakfast before 8 AM. (Imagine has a clear example - of the calaou missing ) some days it’s the boil dumplings or even the salt fish.

This is something that management needs to fix because at 8 AM it’s still breakfast time. There should be no reason that breakfast is running...
