Do not do business with this company. Extremely unprofessional. They are quick to take your money for the installation of new gates however when things go bad they don't respond. Today at 6 AM my gates did not roll up and I immediately called City Gates. Rahin told me that someone would be arriving at my establishment from 830- 9:00 AM. I sat in my car waiting figuring that 2-3 hour wait and eventually someone was going to arrive and fix the gates so that I could get inside. It was 12:00PM midday and no one had arrived, I emailed Rahin asking for an ETA and no response, I called the company and they said someone was on their way. I forwarded Vincent the email and he didn't respond. Someone called me at 3:00 PM asking me if there was a problem with the gate. Clearly, the were not going to show up so I was forced to call another company who arrived promptly 20 minutes after I reached out to them. My gates were were installed less than 2 years ago and I am assuming that they didn't care to show up because they had other important jobs. I ended up paying the other company $280 and lost a whole day of sales at my business (a deli) Only after I left this review was I contacted. Not once did they reach out to me to inform me that they were not going to be able to arrive or apologize for their total disregard. Read moreOur office had a manual gate and upgraded, had city gates put in a motor. They were super quick have a salesman get there, secure the job and collect payment. When it came time to install the motor, they were a no call, no show on day one, someone was always going to call me back. They were then suppose to be there at 9am the next morning they finally called at 4pm day 2 asking if we were still there, a tech was "on the Van Wyck" (we later learned that was their favorite excuse). It was already getting dark so we scheduled for the next day, day 3, a Saturday no less. the 8am turned into noon, and the hour install turned into 6 hours. Now with less than 3 months later, the gate has been broken 3 times. They are rude on the phone, never show up and now is the 3rd day my gate only opens 1/2 way. That's great for business. Read moreI would advise anyone to stay away from this company. Totally Dishonest and cheats. I had them install a brand new roll up gate and motor a little over a year ago. Right after the one year mark the gate was not going up all the way and stopping halfway up. I called them and they send a tech to check it out and he tells me the motor is shot and the reason that its blown is that it’s too small and not the appropriate size for the gate and that it should have not been installed initially with my size gate! Remind you both the motor and gate was setup by them. They told me nothing could be done and that I need a new motor for $4800. I decided to call another company who upon checking the system tell me there is nothing wrong with the motor(besides being undersized) and it just needed to be readjusted.
