I decided to try Crossfit Bridge and Tunnel a couple of years ago as a New Years resolution. I was pretty sure that after my trial period of 6 weeks (which I purchased on Groupon) that I would decide to continue with my home workout routine of doing 'Insanity Max 30' videos by myself. I suppose that I was expecting to have to tolerate some cultish meat-head environment so as to pick up a few skills, and assumed I would come to the conclusion that 'Insanity' was the right fitness solution for my life, especially when I factored in the cost of a membership. What I actually found out was that no athletic scenario I had ever done before (including team sports, gym memberships, and at-home workout routines) had come close to offering the 'holistic' package of fitness and well-being that I have been on the receiving end of since joining this amazing gym. Anthony and Michele have curated a down-to-earth, yet results -focused environment where I have found a real sense of community and fun, as well as confidence that at the age of 38, I am on my way to levels of fitness I had previously thought were out of the question since I was beyond my 20s. Now 2 years later, I'm in the best shape of my life, and I head to the gym everyday with a sense of excitement to expand on my cross fit skills (olympic lifting, cardio endurance, and gymnastics), as well as looking forward to seeing all the friends I've made in this incredibly social and hilarious environment. Learning that Crossfit Bridge and Tunnel and Crossfit Breed have merged to create an even greater community of amazing coaches and members, gives me all the confidence I need to say, don't just try Crossfit, try Crossfit...
Read moreI would like this review to be a warning to anyone who gets a membership from this gym. The owner (Michele) makes you sign up through a system called Wodify which automatically enrolls you in an auto-renew account and they make you sign a waiver which also INCLUDES their terrible cancellation policy! As per their waiver, they require a 30-day cancellation request. This is absolutely terrible as they are essentially ensuring they are stealing an additional month from any member who decides to cancel and move on for whatever reason.
To add, the gym owner, Michele has made things even worse. She is very bad at responding to any emails and has STILL not yet confirmed if my account was canceled (this is now 2 weeks later). When I was joining, the responses were almost instant and the communication was great but it appears this has changed a lot since I now want to cancel my membership.
The Crossfit brand is a great community of people but when business and money hungry individuals get involved it can be ugly. Look for another place to spend your hard...
Read moreBest CF gym in allllll the land. Sigh, I moved from NYC and CFBT is one of the only things I miss. This gym is inclusive, and welcoming. I have two bad knees, and not only did this improve my pain, mobility and strength, but I believe it did so because of the coaches here specifically and their ability to alter movements so that those of us that are a little beat up can still workout and progress. I've seen a few reviews on here from people complaining about the cancelation policy, and honestly it was something that almost made me not sign up since I've been to and sadly worked at gyms in the past that give people problems with cancelation...but if that's a concern of yours I'd like to put it to rest. I had zero problems. In fact, every policy here is straightforward and clear, and the owner Anthony will answer any and all questions promptly. I truly don't understand how anyone could have problems like that. Anyway don't hesitate to join this gym, best coaches, best community, best current (and...
