Coming in hot with my complaint first, I really wish NYC parks would give this park two gates for the section at the front of the park that could be a perfect enclosed dog park. I love dogs and dog parks, but it gets kinda old having random dogs charge you/your leashed dog. Most of the time, it is fine, but my dog did get attacked this summer, which was a huge expense. Otherwise, this park is pretty chill. Sometimes, there are community events in the summer in the park. Sometimes, during the warm months in the school year, the school across the street will shut down some of all of the park. Read moreNice park to go to and relax. During the night/early morning there tends to be a lot of trash all over the place even with a decent amount of garbage cans everywhere. Sometimes in the summer a little fair comes to the park and it can get crowded. I also take my dog here and the doggy bags are always empty but I, myself and a few other friendly people place extra plastic bags for people just in case.
