This garden is filled with so much love and positivity. It is a fantastic place to learn about the environment and gardening from people who are passionate about caring for the earth. They have fantastic community events for kids and adults alike. Drew gardens is open to the public at certain times throughout the year, and they have a schedule posted outside of the garden on their community bulletin board. During the fall they had a photobooth set up where the public could walk in and take cute fall themed photos. They also have craft events for children and art events for adults as well. On Saturdays when the weather is warmer they have yoga classes taught by Mario, who is a legit yoga instructor. He and his twin brother Julio are also the ones who manage and maintain the garden, and they do such a fantastic job of it. During the summer, they have kayaking events, where they will kayak along the Bronx River. If you yourself are interested in gardening, you can speak to Julio or Mario and get your very own box in the garden! There's a yearly membership fee, but you get to visit the space and grow all the produce you want in your space.

Drew Gardens is one of the largest community garden in the Bronx, which is so so so important. We need to sustain places like these. Once you step inside, it feels like you’re teleported to another universe, your mind calms down upon seeing the greenery & natural life. Thank you to Mario, Julio & Ivette who were able to guide us around the garden. I left with so much knowledge about the rich history of the place, and the importance of keeping places like these alive. I have soo many positive words regarding my experience, I highly recommend you to go there at least once you’ll want to keep...
