When I was a courtesy clerk at your store, Iâve enjoyed the hours and some good moments during my time there. I also liked working there because food service and selection were amazing. Hours were okay and payment was ok too. I also loved the fact that there are benefits that I got from working at this store and learned a lot. I was glad that I was able to cash my check right in the store instead of going to another place. However, there are some things that I really didnât like about working here as well. For starters, I understood that There are rules and regulations that are strict in the environment, but it wouldâve helped a bit If There was more compassion towards everyone and each other and understanding. Another issue ahead was that there was so much going on everyday that coming for work with no arguments, problems, fights, stealing, or headaches would be an awkward day at that time. Iâm not the issue was that there were some lack of equipment needed for cleaning and even if there was, Using the equipment wouldâve been a headache because It was old and harder work with. Not understanding why there was a cheap broom in the front when there was literally a vacuum that couldâve been usable and useful when the Maintenance workers called out. Sometimes finding the broom was such a headache, because I usually leave them in the front So couldâve been easier for the next maintenance person who works at the front of the store to grab and use but I ended up having to walk all around the store, sometimes or even in the back to find the thing. And during the rainy times there were panchos in the store, and I was never informed about it until I spoke up. These things should already be handed in to me, or told to me instead of out to get wet in the rain. This couldâve got me sick at the time and if I was to go out that wouldâve been an issue sometimes because like I said this lack of understanding between some managers. There were a few managers and a few people that understood me when I needed to call out. I wouldâve worked there longer if I wouldâve never gone through so much rough times there. There are days where I feel cranky about coming to work, but that didnât stop me from working at all because when I came into the interview, I told one of the managers that the customers were my priority and I showed by pushing a lot of cards to make sure everyone was able to have one. But thatâs even the worst part about working there customers donât care at all they make The job more harder than what it is already we just left everywhere even pushed out the area. Some of them were lit with trash and left over food. I hope no one ever has to go through this and learn from what I had to go through during my time...
Read moreThe deli workers are always very rude and slow. Every time I get deli meat I try to buy pre diced but occasionally I can't find what I need so I need to jump in the deli line. Every time I have to do this the workers are always talking to each other. Employees who are clearly not working are posted up at the station talking to employees who are working. They don't greet anyone. They will see you standing there and purposely not make eye contact with you. Not a friendly "I'll be right with you." Or even a hello. They make you fee like you're bothering them by needing service. Today a woman from the hot side was talking to a cold deli worker and a man who had his coat on but clearly worked there. The one on the clock made it a point not to look at me so therefore I can only assume he didn't see me. So when I said "hi, excuse me" the man who was in his coat told the man on the clock I was standing there to which me mumbles how he's busy cleaning the machine and I can wait but in Spanish then when he comes to help me he doesn't even say hello. He spent so much time cleaning a machine and it wasn't even the one he used to slice my deli meat. So I was confused why he took so long so clean one machine. He also failed to wear his name tag on the front of his uniform. Instead he wore it to the side in his hat so his name wasn't facing the guests. He seemed very unhappy to be there and even unhappier to do his job let alone to do his job professionally and politely. The entire time he gave me dirty looks and made me feel as a nuisance. Again this was just one example of several experiences I've had at the...
Read more2/7/18 9:50pm about young black guy that works there walked into the womanâs bathroom while I and one of the stop and shop workers were inside. I looked at the man like he was crazy and he kept saying he worked there. Then he said I said I work her and I said still itâs the womanâs bathroom and he said something about if I feel some type of way that he want into the bathroom what ever that means I said I do. The man never knocked and seen girls were inside and still came right on in. He then kept harassing me about it. I came out and took the shopping cart while she went inside and then he kept bothering me. The man then said I am sorry miss then he kept on and saying I work here then unzipped his sweater to show me his shirt and I told him you still came in and he said I knocked which he did not and didnât even say any girls in there. The. Man then said you want to talk to my manager a white a Spanish man. He then bothered his manager to tell him he knocked which he didnât and that everybody else there had no problem with him walking into the womanâs bathroom while he was there. I said every one it was me and a lady that works with you that knows you I donât know you. The white a Spanish manger eventually walked him away from me seeing he kept picking with me and wouldnât drop the issue. I was harassed by one of their ghetto mentally challenged man they have working here after he walked into the woman bathroom while...
